A very good post with some great tips for beginners. All of the tips are very important, but I think that the reverse engineering one is one that a lot of people tend not to think about. You can often figure out things without dropping money on the next big product. Also, I would add in to search out reviews on WF about products and providers to see if you're investing in a lemon.

Another tip is always buy WSO that gives good customer support.

Some WSO seller only focus on making money, they don't care about you.
There are good and kind WSO seller out there who helped me 24 hour to help me earn using his method.

This is one of the greatest tips I've heard since I been on these forum, your words are very incouraging. It's pretty tough on these site's gathering information, especially when you dont know who to follow. Im also a new affiliate trying to promote affiliate products, my problem is, how should I go about promoting the service or product, ie PPC, Solo Ads, etc, what do you recommend?

3. Make sure you have cash you don't need for something else !

The way i learned it , if you don't have cash handy, start with doing some services for other people, I'm pretty sure everyone getting involved in internet marketing has some kind of usefull Skill. try and make money from that skill , offer your services to people who need it. Once you have some cash , you can use it to get your domain and webhosting.

4. Always look out for Bargains !

Let's not beat around the bush, you will need money to invest eventually.
but you can always be on the lookout to find yourself a nice deal when it comes to webhosting. I found a coupon for a certain webhost on another forum giving me 75% off for my first payment , thanks to that i had a year of webhosting for only 9$. You can find a lot of free tools ( or free versions ) that are very usefull to build yourwebsite or project , just make sure you look around.

5. Never ever give up and don't be afraid to ask for help when you are stuck !

You won't succeed overnight ( well it could always happen, you never know) and times will be desperate and dark at times, but whatever happens "stick to your plan !" and remember there are many helpfull people here , whether it be technical or motivational !

Well, the time and money you invested into buying tons of ebooks should make you a lot more money in the long term.

Many newbies think that they waste time by diving into several markets, niche, and areas, but in reality they are just getting paid for what they do in the future.

It takes thousands of hours of obsessive study and implementation to become an expert in anything.

The main reason why most people never reach a full time income is because they are not willing to go through the dip. A dip or downswing is a period of time in which you invest money, time, and energy, but don´t see many short term results. In reality, this time frame is the key to success because you are learning HOW NOT to do something, how to do it successfully, and you are willing to go through the pain periods.

The quick internet riches just don´t exist; at least as long as you don´t have a huge list or audience to which to market to.

Thanks for the advice, and I know it's not that easy not to be overwhelmed by all those information around!

I guess there's no magic button or script or program that will do the work for us. Just be prepared to do your own piece of work, stay focused and don't give up!

Thanks everyone for the reading and the replying to my post , i'm glad it inspires people to keep going.

What I would like to add is that Internet Marketing isn't easy , but it is very rewarding once you have found your way around.
Take your time... Rome wasn't build in a day... although you might hear other things, your website won't rank nr 1 in a week ... just make sure you maintain it properly ( if that is your project off course ).
Be ready for a blow in the head here and there, you will be dissapointed , it's part of the learning process, just make sure you figure out what went wrong. Write down the mistakes you made and explain yourself how to overcome that in your notebook ( trust me , that will come in very very handy ).

Oh ! and make friends , because everyone is pretty unique and has different Skills, working together and helping eachother might and will make a difference and will make you money in the long haul ( pardon me if the expression is wrong, lol )

What advise can you give me having no experience at all where should I start? What should I do? I am so lost I live on a Social security income have very little money to invest barely making it in life so hence is the reason why I am here to start learning about Internet marketing I open a affiliate marketing website that I have no idea what I am doing. Any advise please help!

If you have no idea what you are doing , it might be a good idea to start reading this forum , brows through the " new posts" and read and learn,
not by trying to follow a certain strategy post yet.. but by learning about IM.. what is it .. what possibilities are there , once you have a general idea what IM is.. you can go deeper into a certain aspect of it... like for example Adsense.

Another good thing is to write down for yourself what skills you have..
can you work with photoshop? Can you write articles? are you creative?
these might come in handy to make some extra spending cash and it won't cost you anything.

Above all : Do not spend any of the little money you have yet..

and as I and many others stated : don't give up .. but don't overdo it either.. you might get information overloaded !

Never Give Up. I think this is one of the most important pieces of advice anyone can hear when starting a business. Nothing will ever go the way you planned and you may end up in a totally different place than you thought you would when you started out, but if you give up you will never know what would have happened.
