24hrs and $100 to start a Business

If you had only 24 hours and $100 to start an online business, what would you do? To make things interesting, imagine yourself a total newbie. You have no fancy IM software. All you have is a computer, $100, and 24 hours.

    If you've only got 24hrs, I'd use Google to find and hit local businesses, offering them a website, a newsletter, coupon service, etc...

    Or offer to mow their grass, shovel snow, etc...

    The 24hr time frame really limits your options,
    more so than the $100, imo.

      I totally agree. You're saying we must create a 'business' with no definition and specification on revenue, profit, traffic, etc.

      With no money and 10 minutes I could build a business, just post a gig on Fiverr - some will consider that a business. Please specify what you mean by business. Do you mean a website that's making us $200 profit per month? Or do you mean a long term business that will make us $500 per day on autopilot (hopefully it's not this one because it's near impossible for a newbie to do)? Please expand on and define the term you're using: business.

    Don't believe the hype. It's just not possible to start a business in that short amount of time with $100. Anyone that tells you that it's possible, it's lying you.

    As in the real world, building a business takes time and hard work.

    Making money is one thing and building a business is another quite different.

      I wouldn't start one for $100.

      For a start, I'd never build one using a free Wordpress theme.

      That's over $100 for a good one I can use.

      I'd rather wash dishes to be able to afford it.

      Obviously I'd buy a domain name, followed by hosting. When I started getting traffic I'd get an auto-responder.

      I suppose those 3 things - minus the theme - would be about $100.

      The OP did not say build a business he said start a business.

      You don't need both. 24 hours OR $100 will do just fine.

      Its possible to start an online business with $100.00.

      If i had a $100.00 to start an online business then the first place
      i would start is Affiliate Marketing.

      I would go with pay per lead or pay per sales offers.

      The way i would market that offer would be through free marketing
      methods. I only have $100.00 to work with.

      Some of the marketing methods i would focus on is

      Video Marketing
      Article Marketing
      Blogging

      Any commissions i would make would go back into the business to really
      build my momentum.

      It is possible to start an online business with $100.00 but it will take alot
      of time and work to build it into a fulltime income.

      I have to disagree about whether it's possible to start a business in that short amount of time and with only $100. You see, you can START the business. Many businesses wouldn't be making their first sale or first income within that time period, but the business would be started.

      I've started businesses in 8 hours and $100 or less (including business licensing), but it took almost 7 weeks before the first actual payment came to my new business.

    2. Make a Facebook offer.

    Personally I would do one of 2 things.

    1. Buy through classifieds and sell on ebay (this is how I got started)

    2. buy 10 domains and build some small websites either with the aim to make income through Adsense and keep them or sell them when they are profitable for a decent profit.

    Adsense sites are worth 10 - 20x monthly income so get 10 making an average of say $20 a month each you have a portfolio worth $2000+, obviously it may take a little while to get them to this level and then if you want to sell them you will ideally need a couple of months revenue proof, but this is doable

    100 dollars is doable, but starting a business in 24 hours is pretty impossible in my opinion. I don't think a business can be built in one day. I mean obviously you can set up a site in a day, but a business? Nope.

    First hold your money and do some research. Go and see what service or products are selling, and work out a way to sell that.

    If you are clever enough you wont even need to spend your $100 as you can leverage off others hard work.

    You only have 24 hours and $100 to start your business. What is your business? Well, that can be anything you feel will generate money. CPA, article selling and marketing, affiliate marketing via clickbank (or similar platform), fiverr, site flipping etc. I just wanted to leave the thread as open as possible.

    For the sake of making things simple, let us assume that you're trying to earn for long term gains.
