Best way to monetize 6,000 Aweber list

Warriors,

Have a couple of questions. I've built quite a sizable email list via FB Fans and wanted to ask you a couple of questions:

#1 In your experience when is the best time to send email offers and how often per week?

#2 Should I focus on CJ offers? Or is CB okay? I ask because CB has such a bad reputation and don't want to upset my email followers.

Thanks

Now I get the fact that these subscribers came from FB, but was there ever a relationship built with them? Was there any value showed to them? How did the 'like' the fan page?

If no relationship of trust has been built that first that needs to be done before promoting any offers. Make sure you gain there trust so they actually listen to you.

Yeah what relationship?, Is there a Niche involved other than facebook. How many are truly good emails. Alot of fb users use alternate emails.

I do not think you have a 6,000 list due to that fact.

Here is what I do think, make a repore. If everyone is from different fan pages and such, just write reports on fb and how to get the most out of it or something. You have to have a common interest though.

Start with that and see what response you get.

These were in the FOREX Niche. 33,000 FB Fans on my pages and from that I received 6,000 subscribers over 5 months.

TeriAlvim, I just sent you a PM. I am in the forex niche and can help you monetize. Key to maintaining the integrity of the list is to offer them value...do not try to sell them constantly. And make sure they are not getting junk clickbank offers....seriously.

What others are trying to say is if you have not built respect with your list of 6000 you wont be able to monetize well AT ALL... i've tested this before.. for example

About a year back I had a student look at me and say "why am I struggling to make sells with my list they are targeted in the MMO niche and its decent size of 2700 subscribers?".... I asked him if he had built a relationship with the list, and built trust with his subscribers.. from there he said "what do you mean trust?" from there I knew he simply gathered the list through opt ins but did not give value to his subscribers... so I set up a simple test to show him how effective building trust with your list is...

I setup 2 squeeze pages, and ranked each squeeze page based on one keyword for each site that had 10,000 searches monthly each site received 300 subscribers and about the same visits.. with one list I sent valuable information and built trust over several emails and then promoted an offer... the second list.. I simply just promoted an offer... The first list that i built trust with brought in $450 in sales from only 300 subscribers... the second list that I did not build trust with only brought in 44.50 in sales out of 300 subscribers... See the difference? It's a well known fact you must build a relationship with your list or it's worthless... Sorry bud

You are assuming I haven't built a relationship. I have. I have sent over a dozen emails with nothing but value. No offers. Over several months. If someone could please answer my questions and not worry or assume I have bad quality list I'd appreciate it.

So you have a list of 6,000 people that want information in the Forex niche. You have sent over a dozen emails of useful information. Well...

I would send one more informative email about your niche. At the end of the email, put a PS and suggest that your readers contact you with questions, comments, concerns, and problems. This will give you an idea of what your list 'Needs' instead of what you think they need. This also lets your readers know that you are there to help them solve their problems, not just the problems of the general populous.

Once you know what problems your readers are having, you can find ways to solve them. Do some research and create a 15-20 page report that solves this problem, or find a product that solves the problem that also has an affiliate program.

If you created your own product that will solve the problem, send your readers an email describing the problem in as much detail as you can. Then lead them to the answer to their problems with a link to a sales page to buy your report.

If you are promoting an affiliate offer, send your readers an email that explains the problem in as much detail as you can. Then give them a full review of the product that you are promoting.

This can be repeated with any problem your readers give you, but not all problems will be 'Worth' spending money to solve. I'm sure you will know which are which when the time comes.

Well, since you're looking... I've got a Clickbank product launching soon (in pre-launch now) that would be perfect for this list. Pays $22.20 per sale. Hit me up if you want more info.

Hmmm wow that is not very much. Most CB products on Forex niche pay $50-$100 bud

Travelinguy's product isn't a forex one, and he didn't say it was. He said it would be very good for that sort of list: it's one that can usefully be promoted as an additional item to people on a list of that nature. So you ought really to be comparing that $22.20 with not having the $22.20 at all, not comparing it with a $50+ forex commission. I'm "just saying" ...

Highly affordable for customers, then? Sometimes those products sell in far greater numbers. Just a thought ...

Forex is one of the highest paying niches, usually with residual commissions. Treat that list with respect and it will earn you money.

The are forex products on clickbank that I have done well with. MBS Forex System is one with little competition.

Besides the horrendously funny (can these 2 words go together?) post at #15, I'd suggest you already found your answer.
Make sure you have good tracking in place and start renting your list. See what gets good open rates, and what gets good click-throughs. Get paid to test your list - if you got here to ask such a question you probably annoyed the hell out of them already, and if they are still there, it's time to let others try their hand. Would recommend travlinguy, he constantly demonstrates a lot of common sense. Good luck!
