Things that are stopping me

Hello warriors,

I have been researching and taking in loads of info about IM for the past 2 weeks. I have about 10 ideas that I have in mind. I'm planning to work with 1 or 2 of these ideas and start from there.

From all the piece of information I collected like keyword research, different traffic methods, buying a domain name + hosting, different marketing strategies that I learned from free subscriptions, list building and all these stuffs.

This one thing is stopping me: My wordpress site ! Most of the marketers here say that they come from little to no basic knowledge on computers and stuff like that and they are able to come up with a decent, simple website. People who buys their site are excluded from commenting on this.

My first website. (in my signature) I have no idea on how to input in a subscription box where it will lead to my aweber account. Editing the "Subscribe" box to make it look more professional or changing the word "Subscribe" to "Instant access now" something like that.

Top layout, how do I change the color of the place where there is "Home, About Us". I'm not sure how to choose a wordpress theme to fit my site because either the theme doesn't match the layout I have in find or either the color doesn't tickle my fancy. How customizable is a wordpress theme?

My website theme also has this "read more" button and I would like to remove it. Is this possible?

The most important one is inputting in videos & pictures to my posts.

Long story short: How in the world do you get used to your wordpress site and how long did it take? Do you learn from trial & error?

Any help on how to solve my problems will be highly appreciated.

    You can post a job description on Odesk and find someone help you with the tech stuff pretty cheaply.

    I suggest outsourcing, because it's taken me about 8000 hours to be able to handle all the variables in launching a customized site, with proper SEO and a clear profit funnel/channel.

      My budget is a bit tight at the moment so outsourcing is out of the question. My budget priority are for tools like: Aweber, domain names+hosting and maybe article marketing robot.

      I maybeee will look into outsourcing when I have a wider budget.

      Another doubt I got is: On my site, how do I remove "read more" button. I want my readers to read the full post without clicking any buttons.

    If you want to do something with websites you need to learn the basics about graphics and coding. If you do so, everything will much easier. I don't say you have to be an expert, but you should know at least the terminology and what means what.

    If you need any help with your wordpress site I highly recommend you using this guy on fiverr. it is only $5 and he can do any tweak with your WordPress website. I use this guy for everything I need to tweak and he is GREAT. Delivers in a couple of hours.
