Why am I not getting replies to my JV Request?

Well that was the question I was asking after sending out my first batch of 25 JV request and not receiving a single reply.

Then I learned from the this blog post I was doing it all wrong.

Good people to JV with are bombarded with requests. You have to bring something to the table first, and create a relationship. Bring something of value to THEM before expecting them to give you the time of day. Do something for them expecting nothing in return. Be sincere. Be real. Be somebody they would like to do business with.

Building a relationship with the individuals first....

Thats a killer one! If you can actually develop some sort of a relationship with the potential JV rather than send an email asking them to promote you'd get a better success rate.

Another good technique is creating a personalised video for each potential JV and send it to them.....it shows them that they are not just another email you are sending out.

Also provide them with absolutely everything they could ever dream of needing for a launch....the easier it is for them to mail....the more likely they will.

    Kind regards

    Chris

    Chris,
Boring old networking works pretty well I find. It does involve getting to know people and what they really do.
The other way to do it is to give something of value (a gift) to your JV partner. It could be work, a book or some cookies. A high portion of people receiving a gift will at least contact you to thank you for said gift plus many will offer a favour to you. Human nature.

Build a relationship first, then seek JV deals with the people you know.
