How should i go about making sales with my site?

My site sells Facebook likes, i bought it a few weeks ago and have been promoting it as much as i can, on forums, messageing businesses with facebook pages etc. But no-one seems to be interested. I bought the site off Flippa and the guy that had it before me earned $850 in the first 10 days the site was up, he even had proof, he told me his technique was putting his link in his forum signature and adding to discussions in the warrior forum. But so far... Zilch.

Does anyone have any ideas on how i can bring customers in?
We are one of very few website that actually sell real facebook likes but i cant seem to make any sales.

Thanks,
-Michael

Contact bands on Facebook and tell them about your service.

Have you considered perhaps ranking in Google for the search term "buy facebook likes".

Have already paid a company to rank me on the first page of google for this search term. PR is the area i struggle with.

But surely the seller could not fake the numbers? right? It was all shown in paypal.

I thought these sites were dead n buried ages ago, well one tip do not try running it in adwords as it will be a fail more than likley - hopefully you did not pay much and its a lesson learnt for you.

        Exactly.

Just stop for a moment dude and ask yourself what you're really doing.

        1. Selling FB likes, which unless Im mistaken, is probably against Facebooks TOS.
        2. Encouraging false interest in the way of promoting fake likes.
        3. Spamming the web with useless crap thats of no use to anyone at all.
        4. Failing to use due dilligence when buying a website.
        5. Getting scammed yourself!

Is this a BUSINESS, or a HOBBY???

Infact, I wouldn't even consider it either.

How about value adding on the web and actually help someone, instead of chasing shadows trying to make a quick buck.

Well, with prices such as $320 and $2,600 I'd say people simply don't want to pay those prices for an unknown quantity.

Second, talk about a saturated market. Your site looks like just about all the other ones out there -- same template variation, making the same 'ol promises.

I'd reevaluate what you're offering in such a way as to separate yourself from the competition: that includes prices, packages, delivery guarantees (maybe even an explanation or two as to WHY a person NEEDS FB likes?), appearing more legit, etc.

Lastly, I'm very familiar with Flippa (where you purchased this site): I stay away from these sites like the plague. Why? Yeah, guy makes $810 in the first few days with the site but yet he's gonna be a nice guy and sell it to you for $99, or $200, or whatever price. In reality, once you buy this site the seller is already getting ready to list his next "I made $1k in the first month with this FB like site."

But you're stuck with the site so I'd get back to the drawing board and do a little bit more work on your site (informative content, maybe a video demo or two, price structure, incentives, etc) and then really start getting serious with your marketing...I don't know, but I'm guessing that MOST of your PR has just been your little WF signature link and that's not going to cut it because most WF members are more savvy than the average web surfer!

Try posting an Ad on the Warrior Forum. You could put it in the WSO section linking back to your site, or post in the Classifieds. Then you can change your signature to link to your Ad and to your Website.

Try finding other forums where you can put your signature. If you want to sell Facebook likes to bands, find a Forum where new artists gather. Post helpful information for getting more attention to their sites, and link back to your website through your signature.

Have you tried posting something similar on Fiverr, or one of the Many clones? I posted a list of close to 20 'Gig Sites' the other day that might give you a starting point for smaller sales. The hard part is getting people away from the Gig Sites, and looking at your sales page.

What advertising have you done for the site other than Forum Signatures and Contacting FB Businesses?
