Clickbank question

INTERNET MARKETING

I'm a newbie in blogging. I would like to get involved with clickbank on my blogs in some way. I'm not sure of what route to take: sell affiliate products or sell clickbank advertising (like google adsense).

Anyone have experience with this? Any experienced advice would be greatly appreciated.

Just reading your post flagged up something to me.

If you're new to blogging then you're unlikely to have enough traffic to make a good income from advertising.

You need masses and masses of traffic to make anything decent from clicks.

Go for affiliate products related to your blog. That way, your visitor value will be much, much higher.

  I agree with Neil. Here is what I would do based on the info you gave me.
  
  1. Get a hold of Travis Sago's Bum Marketing manuscript.
  
  2. Read it and follow the procedure. It's a simple plan for selling affiliate
  products that won't cost you any money and if you do it right, you can
  actually do quite well with the model.
  
  3. If you can't write articles well, get a hold of a decent book that will
  teach you. Shouldn't cost much. I won't recommend any here because I
  don't want this to turn into a pitch fest.

Do affiliate marketing rather than sell any form of advertising. Just choose a suitable CB product to become an affiliate with. The advantage of blogging over static websites is that search engines generally favor blogs due to their dynamic content. So the first thing to do is to develop as much content as possible while at the same time promoting your CB product. Frequently updated content pushes your site up the SE rankings. Obviously your content should also be related to the product you're promoting. One useful type of content is a review page of the product you're selling.
