I have selected the keywords from Google Keyword tool which have High global and monthly searches but how do I found out that those keywords have how much competition....All of them shows High competition.

Which is the best tool to use which gives the exact key phrase to use in my post meta title tag, headers tags and in content.

I think I m still weak in this keyword research part..
Thnx

Take the key word and go to google search. TyPe keyword with quotation marks eg. "keyword phrase" this shows how many sites have that exact keyword phrase.

  • To determine the competition of google keywords you simply search i.e. get the keyword and move to google to do the search. When typing make sure you quote the keyword phrase. You will provided with all the sites containing the same phrase you typed.

The truth is most people have trouble with selecting great keywords to go after so don't feel bad. No one picks amazing keywords 100% of the time, but what taskemann said is a good way to do your research for free. If you have about $100 you can spare I would recommend market samurai, it's what I use and it saves me a lot of time when selecting keywords to target. The best way to find good keywords is to decide what type of site you are trying to build, ex. Authority site or sniper site. Once you have decided that it will make your keyword selection much easier and you can develope a plan of attack so to speak. If you are building a sniper site you are probably only going to have a few keywords you are targeting, a good rule of thumb for these types of sites are keywords that have less than 25000 exact match domains and at least 1000 or so search volume per month. The lower the number of competing sites the easier the keywords will be to rank for generally. As for authority sites similar rules apply except instead of trying to rank for only a few keywords you will have many keywords that you target. It is still a good idea to rank for lower competition keywords first which will give you more instant credibility in the search engines and thus make it easier for your site to rank for higher competition keywords. I hope this helps as I know how frustrating it can be trying to find good keywords. If you decide to buy market samurai pm me and I will give you a tip that will save you some $$ on the purchase price Good luck!
