Free Video plugin for Wordpress that works

Hi,
I am using Wordpress. I have a couple of videos that I have made, but will not be uploading to YouTube. Instead, I have uploaded them to my media section of my Wordpress site. What video plugin have you found useful for streaming one non-Youtube video on a page of your WP site? Thank you for your help.

That is a good question, there are a lot of them, I just recently tested out several, and while some did work, the end result was not really what I wanted, some of them bleed SEO juice, and then ask for a (commercial license) "Avoid those"

A lot depends on the format you intend to use, and the medium, I think a good plugin would be one that allows you to provide a media stream, from an alternate source, like Amazon S3, for example, and there are some that do this too, but they do not entirely protect the location of the download, (even though they claim to do that) you can do trial and error, and see what works out the best, start at the plugins, section at WordPress › Blog Tool, Publishing Platform, and CMS

Here's the way I do it...

    1) You will need the video to be in .flv format before you upload it to Wordpress. If your video is currently in any other format you can use Free Video Converter - Any Video Converter Freeware - convert video free to AVI, MP4, WMV, MKV, MPEG, FLV, SWF, 3GP, DVD, MP3, WebM, iPad, Android, PSP, Tablet PC to convert the video to .flv

    2) You will need this plugin installed on your Wordpress site: WordPress › Flash Video Player « WordPress Plugins

    3) Anywhere you would like to insert a video just use the shortcode: [flashvideo file=http://link-to-your-flv-file.flv /] and the video will be inserted and play perfectly.

If you create videos in the future, Camtasia has the option to save it as .flv so you can avoid the first step. There's also Screencast-O-Matic - Free online screen recorder for instant screen capture video sharing. ($12 per year) where you also have the option to save your video in .flv format.

I have always liked the Hana FLV plugin myself. (Doesn't have to be FLV format, its just it's name)

For some reason, I have trouble centering the video using this plugin. Do you happen to know how to center the video with Hana? It's the only video plug in that gives me that problem...

With my most recent product launch, I have a series of videos that I didn't want available to the public on youtube, so I used this exact process and my videos are hosted at my site and visible on their own pages!

        Thanks for this...

I use FV Wordpress Flowplayer plugin and host on Amazon s3 here is an example of the code in the page editor

          [flowplayer src=https://s3.amazonaws.com/your_video_file_name_here.mp4 /]

In the settings you can set all sorts of parameters such as player size, controls etc.
Dead easy to set up and control

re centering the video just use <centre> Video code here </centre> NB you should switch to HTML view to insert this around the video code as per the example above

          i.e. <center>[flowplayer src=https://s3.amazonaws.com/your_video_file_name_here.mp4 /]</centre>

          Hope this helps

All of this info was very useful. Thanks to everyone that participated. I got my youtube account disabled and it is supposed to be fixed but so far has not. I want an alternative to posting my videos on youtube just in order to get them on my sites. The things mentioned above should help me do that. Thanks.
