Convert Your Handwriting into a Font...Grab Attention with Unique (or Hideous) Handwriting!

I converted my handwriting into a font here: Fontifier - Your own handwriting on your computer!

It costs $9. If you have decent handwriting (unlike me), you may want to give it a shot. I'm sure it can grab some serious attention on salespages.

I'm aware of the other handwriting fonts out there, but they're too "clean" for me. The above is just ugly enough to get some attention, methinks.

I'm also aware I can write this on a sheet of paper and scan it. But having it available as a Font increases my usage as a designer and marketer.

Anyways, just to clarify, I typed up the message above into Photoshop and saved it as a GIF. It's being hosted at Imageshack. I don't want anyone thinking they'll be able to type like that directly into a thread.

Oh, the bold and underline is courtesy of Photoshop as well. The font itself doesn't have bold/underline abilities.

Are there any studies out there showing that handwritten text converts better - due to their personalization? I heard that it does...

I would like to echo Jon Steel's request for any case studies regarding handwritten sales letters. So far, all the evidence I've heard are purely anecdotal which you all know is hardly reliable. If the intention is to grab attention, wouldn't a unique font or style serve just as well?

That's cool, but you can still tell that it's fake handwriting. It is still too perfect in a sense that every same letter is identical. I'd like to instead see a real handwriting simulation (i.e. with letter randomization), which is not that hard to do and I'm sure there are tools if you look for it.

    Edit:

I did a search out of curiosity and indeed I've found one: http://www.signaturesoftware.com/a1.htm

It's more expensive but pretty impressive.
