Is that some kind of trick question?

No, seriously a Facebook like and a purchase are two completely different pair of shoes.

A simple answer would be "It depends how well you targeted your fans in the first place".
If you got likes from buying them or from "techniques", chances are the conversion will be very low. If you intended to provide them with something that interest them, it can be very high (and all you have to do is to post a link in between your other regular content posts).

What I'm trying to ask is what are the strategy make those people who like your facebook page, to actually buy what you are trying to sell, be it a service or a product. On many occasions, consumers just head over to your fb page, and click on the like button. It all stops there.

I would disagree. I think this is the total opposite. Once you gain a fan on your Fb Page. They become a potential prospect.

Your job from then on has begun to turn them into a customer and then a client.

Once a visitor becomes a fan you will need to educate them in matters regarding your niche and kepp them engaged with your content. Then from time to time drop a link to your product or promotion. However, I personally tend not to do this and will rather try to get them onto my auto-responder. Once on my list them I become more proactive in offering products/services.

That's why it depends how you got those people ... You're right that in many occasions they just head over the FB page then nothing. But if you have targeted them correctly, then they will be interested in the content you post and eventually the links to the products you sell. You have to build trust first with them by posting good free content. When they'll trust you, they'll be ready to buy from you.

If you got a Fanpage with enough likes (fans) then you can promote your product, thats easy.

I understand what you are saying, but what is your fanpage about, are all your fans, fans of that niche, man fb is so new to marketing and it really is that I don't think anyone can answer that question to satisfy me.

No its not! How do think Mr Zuckerberg's company make their money?

Also why is Facebook still free?

The only thing that is still relatively new to Fb is companies within specific niches utilizing Fb marketing. There is still a lot of business on the table for individuals to market their fan page services to these businesses.

Host a webinar for something related to your fanpage.

Promote your webinar on your fanpage so people will sign up.

From there you can build a relationship and add value to your potential customers lives.

you got to have targeted fans for your product and don't forget to keep interaction with them so they know that your fan page is really something.

    Hola,

Well, they're two different things. The first step is to get them to like your page so that you have them join that community. Most likely, the next best step would be to gather their information as an opt-in so that you can put them into a sales funnel that benefits them but ultimately leads to a purchase, which is where you need to end up if you're trying to convert Facebook likes into money.

Conversion is someting which you need to consider on high priority.. If you are not getting conversions, you need to check out your products details, see whats there which is prohibiting users to buy the products,

You mean convert them into buyers? Here's a simple thing. You should have friends that are targeted and should be interested into your fan page's niche. For example, if most of your friends are interested on mobile phones, you should create a mobile phone fan page. After that, invite them to like your fan page and start adding valuable content to it.

Keep adding at least 5 to 10 valuable things that you can share about before promoting your affiliate or CPA links to it. Buying random Facebook likes won't help turn them into "buyers".
