Affiliates - where do you find products to sell?

I'm getting ready to launch an affiliate program for my physical products. I was getting ready to work with share a sale but then performance based contacted me so I might be offering affiliate programs through both of them.

I have an attractive percentage and tiered commission system all worked out already.

My big question is - by simply being listed on these sites is this enough that I'll pick up affiliates, or are there places affiliates go to find new products, and if so, where?

where do I market the affiliate program and get affiliates to notice?

Clickbank and amazon are probably my main source but I also check out my competition and see what they are selling.

Other times I am promotional lists and if something good comes out that I like I will promote it.

I've used tradedoubler, affiliate future and affiliate window as an affiliate for physical goods.

Once you launch your affiliate program you should put a link to how to sign-up on your site. There might also be listings where you can list your affiliate is specific categories. When I look for an affiliate program I generally look at what all the sites are offering in that niche and then find the best affiliate program out of that.

I find affiliate products three ways:

    1. I look for products on the main networks I belong to: Share A Sale, LinkShare, CJ and
    Google Affiliate Network.

    2. If there is a merchant I wish to use I go to the bottom of their homepage and click on
the affiliate link. They usually state which network they use and I go sign up. For
example have joined two specific networks just to access a particular product for my
niche (in addition to the ones listed above).

    3. I always check Amazon.

Apart from Amazon and Clickbank and/or your preferred networks, I presume you also intend having a site of your own for your products. The rest involves you marketing your products and affiliate program as strongly as you can using all the usual methods and sources.

On your own site. Whenever I am looking for a new product to promote I do a Google search, find out who is at the top, and find their affiliate program through their website. I get irritated when they don't have a link to it on their website and I have to try to find it in another way.
