Networking and Building an Online Reputation

I have just started working with providing web content, specifically article writing, and I really want to get out there and market myself. I just started my website a couple days ago.

I want to network with people and build up my online reputation in order to gain new business and possibly work with others on different projects. I want to create a freelance article writing agency and then try my hand at article syndication marketing (way down the road).

What are some good ways (online and off) that you have used to network with others, build your client base, and really get the word out about your service or product?

In a nut shell post links on blogs, forums, make a squido lens, make a wordpress page, make a facebook fan page, share your link to all the networks like StumbleUpon, digg, linkedin, ect.. and point all the links and pages back to your main website.. this should be a good start for you

In a nutshell, that's how you do it.

Become an authority in your niche, blog about it daily, comment intelligently at blogs that have CommentLuv installed, get your name out.....

      Yep.

      That's how you start.

Couldn't have said it any better however, may I stress that you put a lot more emphasis on Forums & Facebook.

Forums are a good place to connect with your market audience and jv's and Facebook is a good way to stay connected and cultivate long term relationships with your jv's.
