A month ago I built 40,000 instant backlinks each for 3 non IM sites and 1 IM site

All of the backlinks are showing for the 3 non IM sites but only 37 backlinks are showing for the IM site

(IM site is a cb software salespage with just a video cloaked with my own domain and the keywords used are the name of the domain)

Does google hate cb IM sites that much?

What seems to be the problem?

What it have made a difference if I had built a wp blog with the software review on the domain instead?

It's really dangerous to build 40,000 instant backlinks.

Google really doesn't like that. That may be your problem.

Agreed. It looks very unnatural to G when you have a link blast and then no more links coming in.

As some warriors have mention, you might want to do your back linking activity consistently over a period of time so that it will look more natural.

You might consider doing content marketing as not only you can add unique content to your website, you can also repurpose the content to help you get more traffic back to your website.

Hope my humble contribution is useful to you

You need to change your personal view of Backlinks. Think of them like money at the bank. Would you rather have $400 in cash, or $400 in pennies? Of course, who's to say if you get all $400 worth of pennies... If you did get $400 in pennies, would you want to check it to make sure you received all of them?

Of course, if you did get $400 in pennies, would it really be worth $400? It is estimated that 180-185 pennies weighs 1lb. Copper sells for roughly $3.53 per lb. Of course, the problem comes when you attempt to melt down pennies to sell the copper. First, there is Zinc in the core (0.08% of the penny), and then there is the problem of defacing government property (Which is a felony).

That's about what your 40,000 backlinks are worth. My suggestion, stop trying to take the quick and easy way. It won't work, and it will just end up costing you more time and money.

I agree with the other posts, the large amount of links in a short time is not a good thing and can even cause you to be slapped by Google. And that would take your site right off of the search.

The more natural things look the better. As for IM sites there are so many that it is very hard to get listed very high, you would do better with the blog and regular content then spam links.

I promise I don't mean it rudely, but it's rather a surprising question from someone with the letters SEO in his avatar?! Here's the problem ... clearly:-

Have your site or blog as a back link on numerous other sites and blogs of yours, and take turns giving small blasts for each one of them.

I couldn't tell you how much though because I haven't done this kind of thing before , but it could be a way to make it seem natural.

also be mindful of your on page SEO and make sure its good content.

Aside from the fact that 40,000 may be too much to build at once.
Did you do anything to index the backlinks?
Not all the backlinks will show up - that's normal.

How'd you get 40k instant backlinks?

Yep, lots of backlinks obviously do not look organic or natural to Google so they will get rid of them.

I would suggest you link a blog to your existing page and post some articles to it.

So say your IM page is domainname.com create a blog at domainname.com/blog and then write some blog posts that refer to the sales page.

Also, remember that quality is really much more important than quantity.

I learned that for myself. I paid for some 5000 backlinks and most were deleted by Google on a few days.

I then went back to my old way of writing for real people quality articles on just 2 sites that then get syndicated and in a month got almost 3000 syndication which got me some really good backlinks that are still in existence. (Not to mention the immediate quality targeted traffic I received).

Only backlinks that count and won't get deleted are the ones that drive traffic. If you built only 0,1% of those 40K instant backlinks in a way that people wold click the link, you would get A LOT better results.

Google doesn't have a reason to keep a backlink if it doesn't contribute to the website. What I mean by that is if you create an article that have visitors (for example web 2.0) and they click the link to your website, that link HAS value.

I once read a great way to view the value of backlinks.
A backlink is worth 1 point, multiplied by (10xPR). For example...

    PR 0 = 1
    PR 1 = 10
    PR 2 = 100
    PR 3 = 1,000
    etc...

Thinking of things this way, you effectively created 40,000 PR 0 (or worse) backlinks. If you spent 5 minutes creating a single backlink on a PR 4 page, you would have similar value.

    But!!

Of those 40,000 backlinks you created, how many have the rel=nofollow tag on them? If all of them do, you effectively have 0 backlinks.

So looking at things from this perspective should give you an idea of what you Should do, instead of what Looks Easy. Besides, it isn't hard to get good backlinks.

    1) Go to Google
    2) Type [Your Keyword] “powered by wordpress” “leave a comment”
    3) Click Search/Enter/Return
    4) Check PR with SEOQuake
    5) Read Content BEFORE Posting
    6) Post an INFORMATIVE and HELPFUL comment with your site in the URL box.

      1. First of all, it's not recommended to create such a huge amount of backlinks in a day. You must have used an automation software and I'll bet the backlinks are not content backlinks coming from within high-quality unique content (you would have had to use many instances of very deeply spun content to get a decent level of uniqueness for 40k backlinks).

      2. Secondly, what did you use to check your backlinks? Did you check via Google Webmaster Tools or did you use an out-house software to check your links? Some backlink checkers show very skewed results...

      3. In any event, I recommend creating backlinks at a consistent pace. Set for yourself a steady number of links you create every day and do it for a longer period of time (a few months at least in most cases). Consistency is in the heart of succeeding in the SEO department.
