Top internet language after english?

I am thinking of buying a website which is done in english and italian. I am thinking of converting the content into more languages.

What is the other language should I pick? Spanish?

Also, should I get all the content (about 3000 articles/etc) converted and then post all at once or should I do few articles a week?

Thanks

In regards to article marketing, it all depends how you push your content. Obviously depending on the language you decide to convert to, the market, the quality of your articles, etc. You just have to keep testing to get the best results.

Also I'm not sure posting 3000, articles all at once is a great idea. Think of it like back linking. Imaging you had 3000, back links instead of 3000 articles. Now how do you think Google will take the sudden boost in back links? It will seem natural.

I would translate the site to Spanish, given a large portion of South America speaks the language.

Anyway, as for article submission speed, don't do it all at once, submits a handful of articles every week and stay consistent throughout and you'll see much better results than if you would upload them all at the same time.

Google loves to see a site that gets updated regularly and adds a piece of fresh content every now and then. You have to play the Google game in order to succeed in SEO, that means, play by their rules and not set your own.

You can bet your sweet life though that many of those Chinese are learning English juat as quickly as they can. There are more English speakers in China than there are in the whole of the UK.

If you want to get ahead and stay there, use the main language of international commerce.

        Just my thoughts,
        Jeff.

You need to keep in mind that Mexico (113,724,226) is the highest populous spanish speaking country in the world.

      Also of note from Wikipedia:

"Spanish is the second most natively spoken language in the world, after Mandarin Chinese.[9] Mexico contains the largest population of Spanish speakers. Spanish is one of the six official languages of the United Nations, and is used as an official language by the European Union and Mercosur.

Spanish is the third most commonly used language on the Internet after English and Mandarin. It is also the second most studied language and second language in international communication, after English, in the world."

      My vote = Spanish

The languages you choose for your content should be related to the expected audience for your content. Many products will appeal more to Americans and Europeans, hence choosing languages like English, Italian, and Spanish. If your product would appeal to an Asian market, think about Chinese and Japanese. If you're looking to expand your audience without too much of an investment in translation, Spanish is probably a good bet.

I would highly recommend staying away from Google Translate or any other automated translation tools. These tools do not turn out content that is remotely high quality, and sometimes the results aren't even readable. If you want multi-lingual content, you need to be willing to pay for it.

The linguist (and translator) is screaming in me... There is no such thing as CONVERTING the content from one language to another!

It can be either translation (if it's written) or interpretation (if it's oral).

And machine translations suck - don't even wast your time with it...

I would honestly do Spanish and Mandarin and English. That covers most of the people in the world.

I have researched this before and had poor results from it, But those are the three I targeted. Seems most internet marketers speak english no matter where they are.

I did sell but not near as much as English. I also do not speak or write either of the other two languages and the translators just don't do the job, so I spent a small fortune on the one website I tested.

    Good luck though.

The American English is considered to be a universal language, but I think the secondary language will be a different kind of English like the British English. But for others, international languages like Chinese, Spanish and Filipino are considered as secondary.
