Have you use a virtual assistant?

Hi i recently talked with a marketer and he commented me that he uses a virtual asistan when he need to find information, reports, studies about the market online. I wonder how many of you have used a virtual assistant before? and what is your experience with it?

The experience is as good as your instructions and the amount you pay generally. If your instructions are vague or you leave stuff to open for decision by the VA, the VA will of course always take the faster/easier route. So state exactly what you want and what you want to pay in your job offer, look for people with good prior ratings (on platforms where this is applicable) and you should be good to go.

getting a virtual assistant is good as compare to the money you pay but you must have good skills to determine the efficiency of that person.

I have used many, either for a project or paid by the month. I am about to hire another one but don't need a full time so I will find a partner that wants to split the cost. He can pay week one, me week two ect.

I usually hire someone I have worked with in the past. I have paid for a full time, from 100 to 800 a month, I know large gap but I have been doing virtuals for many many years.

The more they know the more it will cost you, so I try to find someone that, well lets say I'm doing blogs, I will find someone that can right and put up blogs, ect.

Yes it is well worth it and if you can split the costs it is really worth it.

Because I apparently can't right lol. No pun intended.

odesk.com is the best place to find a virtual assistant. A few tips:

    1. Pay attention to feedback
    2. Have a trial period (with several candidates if needed)
    3. Pay after you've confirmed the work is completed correctly
    4. If you hire a VA for SEO, you MUST check the work, my experience is that SEO work for VA's is low quality

Hope these help - good luck!

Yes virtual assistants can be very useful for you. You can let them all the tiring and time consuming work and do the more important things and focus there instead. So that could bring you more and better profit. Because you just dont save time but money also because you can turn those extra time into something more profitable.

If you need a VA just let me know I know a company who you can hire VA for 300USD to 400USD a month

I've run across several people who have (has) used a virtual assistant service and has been quite satisfied.

As with any service, do your due-diligence up-front before deciding to go with them.

They are very good if you do your research, try to find friends online or associates who could recomend one too you. O desk is also a good place to find someone and if you find a good one they can become good friends as well as work colleagues.

It really depends on the fact that doing certain activity yourself is worth your time or not... Its good to have someone doing the work you feel is not worth it OR does not have a good ROI on your time.. oDesk is good or you can use some other time tracking tools as time doctor or hubStaff.... (Time tracking is a must if for performance management of VA's or other outsourced positions).... Best of Luck ...

That's a tough question to answer.

From what I've seen, the level of success employers have with their virtual assistant boils down to a few factors:

    • finding the right virtual assistant: it takes a lot of people more than one attempt to find somebody they can work with. Some times a perfectly good worker cannot work with a perfectly good employer due to compatibility issues... go figure.
    • training: how much time you put in to train your VA on what you want done and how you want it done will be critical to the level of success you can have outsourcing key tasks.
    • payment: if you are going to pay a minimal fee, either quality or sustainability are likely to be compromised. No good VA will work for below-par wages for a long period of time, so you should not compromise on being fair with payment levels.

Virtual Assistants are a must have if you regularly do routinary simple tasks daily. Instead of you doing it you can let your VA handle it. This frees up your time to handle the more important aspects of your business.

Using a virtual assistant is good or can be better as far as the job is get done and you're satisfied about it. As a Client you must have a constant communication with your VA to see how things are going on. You must choose intelligently, do a personal interview and ask for portfolios if you require expertise on the task you want to delegate. The cost is also something you would consider. Virtual Assistants have different rates, but that rate is not the basis of the quality of job they can provide. So would consider to balance your budget and skills you're looking for. I would recommend you to hire Filipinos not because I'm one of them but see for yourself. You can do a research about us, know the pros and cons before you decide.

A VA would save up the time you could consume on repetitive tasks. By that, you can then prioritize the more important ones and let the VA do the other. They would be of great help. But you have to ready the things they should do for everyday so that they can perform their work smoothly..

Let me know if I can help you Warrior to Warrior.

    Good luck
