Cannot see how many users are in each part of the forum anymore

Has anyone else noticed this?

Am I the only one seeing this?

I do not know how long it has been like this but I can no longer see the number of users in each part of the forum. I think it was usually in parantheses after each sub-forum within the forum, to give you an idea of the traffic in that part of the forum at any given time.

For example, you could see "Main Marketing Discussion Forum (233)" or something like that. Now, I see no indication of the number of users in any of the differe sub-forums within this forum.

Anybody know why the change?

That feature was taken away because the bandwidth it took to support was not worth it. It was one thing that slowed down the forum loading.

I guess we'll just have to guess now!

Any idea the average amount of users on the forum at any given time, George?

Sorry, but, no I don't. However, some "in the know" said that those figures were not all that accurate anyway.

    • Yea it is a bit of a shame, but in a funny way it seems to make more adventurous on the forum. I used to stick to one or two rooms based on how busy they are. Now I have no idea so I'll jump all over the place.

I never thought they were entirely accurate but I thought they gave a general idea. Now all we have to go on are the numbers at the bottom of the main page for how many users are on the whole forum, which I don't think are updated minute by minute, either.
