Well I would suggest a free program that could be as good as Adobe Photoshop. There are tons of alternative good programs to use. Just please do not use Windows Paint

    Here is a link:

11 Free Adobe Photoshop Alternatives (Softwares)

The best in my opinion is Paint.net and Xara is also good.

    Next up, create your video.

This can be in the form of slides, which is why the above programs will help, or you can use standard Microsoft Powerpoint if you want to go that route. The other way is recording your video and for that you can get tons of tips all over the internet on how to produce your own video.

If you used the slide version, you can load it into a free program that is already present on most XP systems... Windows Movie Maker. So that is a free option, or alternatively you can search for other software that is similar like Camtasia, or Video Spin

Video Spin: A Better Video Editor Than Windows Movie Maker That’s Free & Supports YouTube

To do the audio you can do it separately on a different software like cooledit pro, or any free alternative voice recording software.

Then just add it into the video editing and then save it, compress it and you are done

        Hi,

Have you taken a look at VideoWebWizard version 2? Keith's just updated it and added a plethora of skins so you can present your videos in a wide range of frames, getting rid of the stale look so many videos have.

Oh, I forgot to mention none of the sites I list I am affiliated with, except my own sites which are osirius, kingdomofshadows, marketingprinciples, rohanwiki, and chaos-incarnate. Just in case people assume I am linking to my own blogs and stuff for information

Personally I use Adobe Photoshop CS2 at the moment, (heh I had to check the version since I had CS3 before- didn't like it.) and so all I had to do was think of some really popular alternative free software suites that other people use. A forum that I am a member of..that hosts artists that work with stills, CG and 3d use Paint.net and I have that myself... since it has one or two features that Adobe doesn't have. So its the popular free alternative.

Windows Movie maker... well realistically one of my hobbies is anime and most anime enthusiasts create AMV's (Anime Music Videos) and they use... Windows Movie Maker as a free choice if they have Windows XP. Alternatively they will use Video Spin.

I mean look at what some people create with Windows Movie Maker:

        A basic tutorial for WMM:

And then a finished produced AMV:

(one of the best AMV's out there...shows you what can be done with WMM)

Or if you go the expensive route with Adobe Premiere you can get more or less the same results as shown here with this AMV:
