Hypertracker vs Pretty Link

Looking for a tracking program... I hear good things about these two programs!

Can anyone share their Pro's/Con's with these? Or do you have any other suggestions that I may consider purchasing?

Thank you!

Hypertracker is going to give you a much deeper level of stats vs. Pretty Link.

However I would actually recommend Adtrackz Gold. It's personally my favorite testing and tracking system and it will allow you to cloak your links, setup new campaigns, and find out EXACTLY which traffic sources have the highest conversion to subscribers and sales. It also has split-testing built-in.

KIM.... what are the odds that you would find MY FIRST POST in this forum? This is Randall... to whom you recommended HT & PL... smiles!

Do you have an affiliate link for Adtrackz Gold if I decide to move forward with it? How long have you been using it... because you recommended HT in your video? Thx

I've used both hypertracker and prettylink.

Prettylink is very basic link cloaking and split testing. If you're looking for in depth link tracking then I'd recommend hypertracker or linktrackr

Can you use Pretty Links to hide your hypertracker link, thus getting a cloaked link that looks better, yet the indepth tracking of hypertracker?

Yes. Pretty Links is a WordPress plugin that lets you redirect ANY link to another link that contains your WordPress domain name.

All you would need to do is take your affiliate link, and cloak it with Hyper Tracker. Then take the newly created Hyper Tracker link, and use the Pretty Links plugin as a redirecter.

Pretty Link, as the name clearly explain, you can use it for back stat and with the pretty url to cloak your affilliate link or complex link structures!

Use tracker for tracking and cloak those tracking link with Pretty Link will make life more easier!

Based on this thread, I thought it might make sense to pass on an email I sent to my list on the effects of Windows 8 "Do not Track" feature being checked as default. Here's what my current testing shows:

Is Affiliate Marketing Dead with the introduction of Windows 8???

Hello Again, It's Glenn Cozzens from Lakefront Research with some important information about the new Windows 8, the "Tell Websites I Don't Want to be Tracked" feature, and how this all effects your efforts with Affiliate Marketing.

If you don't know what this is, there is a feature in Internet Explorer which when checked tells people you do not want to be tracked while looking at websites. On the surface this feature sounds great from a security standpoint, but also can prevent certain types of businesses from working at all. This feature is checked by default in Windows 8 which on the surface would tell you that Affiliate Marketing as we know it might just go away. What would be the point if when people clicked on your link and purchased something, you did not receive credit for the sale?

So, without getting into all the details of this feature, in my typical fashion I will get right to the point. Long story short... Microsoft was approved to add this feature as long as it was not checked by default. In typical Microsoft fashion, they did it anyway. I researched and tested the effect of this on Affiliate Marketing and
what I found is, at least at the present time, the Affiliate Networks seem to be ignoring the checked feature. This means everything seems to work as usual even when the feature is checked. BUT, we need to keep an eye on this and if something changes, I will fill you in as soon as I know more...

As a link shortener/Tracker. I use Samurai Stealth Cloaker and really like the fact that I can import lists I create in Excel.

      I hope this helps
