Which Legal Pages Are Required On A Squeeze Page?

Hi, If you build a site that only has a squeeze page on it, giving away a free report, what legal pages are necessary. Do you need an affiliate disclosure on a squeeze page? What about privacy policy, anti-spam, terms of service. Should you have things like, contact us, about us, ect.

Thanks
Glenn

I would say the privacy policy is a must, since you intend to collect and use visitor information. You can include contact information on this page, as well. If you will be making affiliate offers, a disclosure is also necessary.

I'd say the rest are optional, but not a bad idea.

There is a difference between what is 'required' and what 'you should have.'

A privacy policy may be required so that subscribers know what is happening to their email address. That could be as simple as telling people their email will not be sold or transferred to others.

As far as anything else, it depends on what you are emailing.

Affiliate promotions may require a disclosure in the promotion, or up front as part of the signup.

Sending emails about topics other than the free report may require disclosure and consent. For instance, offering a free forex report does not mean it is open season to send promotions about adult products.

If the content of free report itself requires a disclosure that should be made before the email is obtained. For example, a report about reducing anxiety attacks should disclose that one is not a medical doctor.
