SEO or PPC?

I have keywords but what I need is to just get the word out that my product exists. I have an opt in list...just need people to know that it exists.

(Shoestring budget) So should I pay for SEO company?
(Shoestring budget) Or should I spend money on PPC?

Or should I ring ever doorbell?

Thanks!

SEO is always a good idea. And if you want to go the PPC route successfully, you'll need to have your site well-optimized anyway. It's impossible to run a profitable PPC campaign without SEO on both the destination page as well as the entire site on which it lives.

You should SEO your site and build backlinks. Why the hell do you need a SEO company. Just read "SEO Made Easy" by Brad Callen and you're on the right track. It's free btw.

SEO (requirements = work) PPC (requirements = money)

    Nothing more to say.

I've found it best to focus on one aspect of marketing first - you've seen it written here already, but if you don't optimize your site first, then you'll be paying over the odds for PPC with google anyway. Start with the site, get your name out and about, then once you've learned about keywords and what works and what does not - you'll be ready to take on the PPC. It's an awesome source of leads, but a quick way to spend cash if you're not careful!

      Hi,
I don't see why you have to choose between the two.
SEO can be free, but requires investment of time, while PPC can be the quickest way to loose your money, even before you make any with your product.
With PPC whatever results you get (whether your campaign works or it doesn't) you know it very quickly. So if it works and you're getting nice returns you can invest more money in PPC, and if it doesn't you can change your campaign or end it.
I believe the best course of action will be a limited PPC campaign, just to see the reaction to the product, start things going, and get people to subscribe to your list (if they don't buy the product, and even if they do), and while doing the PPC campaign work on your SEO, in a way that when your PPC campaign ends you will be ranked in a good place.
On the long run SEO is certainly better, because it's free, and endurable.
      Good luck!
