A VERY Interesting IM Lesson/Warning on SUCCESS Straight Out of the Bible
I was reading this a couple of days ago, and I found that it applied to my own personal venture into IM, as well as other struggling newbies on this board.
There is nothing really religious in the post, and it will not convert anyone to Christianity. It is just a lesson based around some bible history.
Back in the day the Israelites were in bondage to Egypt. A leader emerged by the name of Moses, and he persuaded Pharaoh to let the Jews go "Let my people go."
According to the bible in Exodus 12:37:
And the people of Israel journeyed from Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides women and children.
600,000 men made the journey out of Egypt on their way to the promised land. That doesn't include women and children, so we know the number was a lot larger. As a matter of fact Exodos 12:38 goes on to say:
A mixed multitude also went up with them...
... SO there is a strong possibility that there were 2-3 million people that made the exodus out of Egypt to venture to the promised land
Two million people have been told by the leader whom they all trust, that God has provided a land for them that flows with milk and honey. The land is already fertile, and the harvest is waiting for them.
But something happens very early into their journey to the promised land. They begin to Murmur. They begin to murmur out of disbelief. They stopped trusting that God had prepared a place for them.
Well, God finally had enough. The Israelites sent 10 spies into the promised land to see what was over there. (This is where it gets interesting for IM.) The spies said, there was no way the Israelites could enter the land. There were giants, and they were scary and would kill all the Jews. One spy stood out. He didnt see with the same negativity. 1 out of 10 believed he could enter into the land that was provided for him...see where this is going? It gets better...or worst, depending where you are in your IM journey.
The Israelites sided with the negative spies and God had enough. Numbers 14:22-23:"Surely all the men who have seen My glory and My signs which I performed in Egypt and in the wilderness, yet have put Me to the test these ten times and have not listened to My voice, shall by no means see the land which I swore to their fathers, nor shall any of those who spurned Me see it."
God stripped them of their promised land. He told them "because of your unbelief, you will never enter the land I gave you." However, he made an exception. In Numbers 14:24 the bible says of the one spy who believed: "But My servant Caleb, because he has had a different spirit and has followed Me fully, I will bring into the land which he entered, and his descendants shall take possession of it."
The spy who believed beyond the circumstances was granted the ability to Enter into the promised land. In fact, not even MOSES, the leader who led them out of Egypt, would be allowed to enter the promised land. Numbers 14:30 'Surely you shall not come into the land in which I swore to settle you, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.
The chapter goes on to say that everyone who was alive at the time of the exodus would die in the wilderness. Remember, 600,000 to 3,000,000 people escaped bondage and journeyed to their promised land.
Do you understand what happened? Only two people out of two million or so people ever realized their dream of a promised land, because of murmuring and disbelief.
I have seen a lot of newbies creating threads wanting to give up. Cursing, pitching a fit, crying their eyes out. I was one of them. But those who sit around and do nothing but murmur will never find the road into their internet marketing promised land. How many millions of people are buying WSO's and make money online products? How many succeed? Only a small number evre realize their dream of making money. They are the once that believed and looked up even when things looked impossible.
If you believe in your skills, apply the knowledge you have gained, and move forward -you will make it to your land flowing with milk and honey. There are giants in the way: Fierce competition, lack of skills, lack of time, lack of focus - these giants can be slayed, but you have to prepare yourself and take them on. Dont run in fear. They are inhabiting you promised land. Once you are ready to fight - trust in yourself, even when times are bleak, and profit is nowhere to be seen - and you will eventually make it to your IM promised land.
I will close with a warning. If you do not take action, if you sit around and murmur/complain, you will die in the wilderness, while others (few in number) will take your promised land from you.
