If you want to make it an easy download with a secure infrastructure try e-junkie.com which works well. I also sell video courses by the way, but I like to make them into a membership site with optimize press, s2member script, and then I use amazon s3 for video hosting, and finally clickbank for selling. But, hey if you want to save yourself all the trouble of creating a membership site and hosting on amazon s3 just go with e-junkie. This way the buyer goes to your sales page, buys, and then e-junkie sends them the download link.

If you want to know how to actually deliver the videos to your customers you basically have two options.

Either you send them the raw videos files directly by downloading a .zip file or you embed your videos on a membership site which only your paid customers can access.

It is always a good idea to give out a few review copies to people in your niche.

This way you will get good feedback and may even pickup some supporters/sponsors if your content is good enough.

Thank you GeoMasters. I like the simplicity of the E-Junkie option but does it work effectively? I'm not opposed to hosting my videos on Amazon S3 by any means, but I'm not completely sold on the membership site right now.

To do this through E-Junkie, I would:

1) Put the video files and eBook file into a .zip
2) Upload it to E-Junkie
3) Create a sales page with E-Junkie shopping cart

Then, when a customer checks out, they will be sent an email with unique download URL that will allow them to download the .zip file on their computer.

Is this correct?

Anyone else have alternative methods?

Yes. Try SendOwl. It's better than E-Junkie, imo, and I've used both.

They will also host the video files for you and deliver secure links to your buyers. Lots of options and easier to use than E-Junkie.

I am not sure if you are trying to figure how to market your video course or the technical aspect of selling it online. Allow me to offer a few tips.

Do you have a web page where you intend to sell your course? You may also try a WSO. but before that you would want to make some reputation here in this forum so that members are aware of your talent. You can also consider creating a teaser video on YouTube giving some more details on your course. There are in fact plenty of things you can do.. . you will get several ideas here in this forum alone.

Sorry for not being clear in my descriptions thus far. I am only looking for the technical aspect of selling it online.

I really like e-junkie and use it for all my products at the moment. The amount that you pay for the service will depend on the size of the file and/or the number of different products you're selling.

You get unlimited customer downloads, too, which strikes me as a really good deal. No worrying about excessive bandwidth.

Just be sure to test the entire process, including the emails that get sent to the customer.

Thanks Gail_Curran. I suppose that my only remaining worry about using E-Junkie solely is that my market isn't completely "tech-savvy." I wonder if they will have issues unzipping a .zip file and if that will make them unsatisfied with the product.

Can ClickBank be used in a similar fashion? If so, which do you believe would work better for delivering 8 videos and an eBook?

Whichever delivery system you use, customers are going to have to unzip a file, unless you're going to have them download each video separately. If you really think customers will have difficulty, perhaps make a screenshot video showing them how to do it.

With Clickbank, there's a certain amount of hassle getting an account and then getting your salespage approved. You don't have to deal with that with e-junkie. I think you have to host your own files when you use Clickbank, too. Clickbank is good if you want affiliates to sell your product, and it's easy for customers to obtain a refund.

I'm biased, but if I were you I'd try e-junkie, see how it goes. You can always change your delivery system after you've gained some experience.

I wouldn't worry too much about your customers not being tech savvy. You can just send a follow-up email with your help-desk email and that really should take care of any issues.

I have also used E-Junkie and was overall pleased with it. Good Luck!

If you have the budget for it, use something like Kajabi which is designed for marketing and delivering that kind of content.

Otherwise, to do it cheaply use Wordpress with a membership plugin (DAP, Wishlist) for the delivery together with something like Optimizepress.

I would build a simple opt in page where people can opt in to your newsletter. Then you can sell your video course to them in each email that you follow up with.

You just need to offer them some thing for free in your first 1-3 emails.

Entice them to join your list with some sort of a free offer.

That can work well for you.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Is this your own product? If it is your own product, then I would start with Udemy.

If it's not your own product, then you have to make sure that you have all of the rights to reproduce it and sell it.

Do you have your own website with a list? If not, you need to start a list yesterday.

Once you have your own followers that trust you, you will be able to sell them your products provided ,of course ,they are good.

Good luck with whatever decisions you make.

This is exactly what I would do. Put the product information in a nicely set up membership site as it would greatly improve the perceived value of the product.

Since you own the product and you're just starting out, I would suggest you start with Udemy as they are already set up for delivering video courses and people already go there looking for courses taught on video. This is built-in traffic.

I'd SEO the heck of them (Videos) that is, put each video on a YouTube Page dedicated to your product.. But the trick is only play about 1 min of each video and add an outro telling them if they like that, they can get more by going to www.yourdomain.com, and add the link to your description box as well.. Then keep doing that... the people who go to your website are already primed and ready like a virgin on prom night.. Boom Like a Boss..

Since you are the owner of course content that you want to sell online.

To sell the video courses online by uploading them into any LMS system which will manage the course offering and let you manage the courses the way you want it to be.
I would suggest Moodle could be a solution for this purpose.

Moodle has these features wherein you can create courses and upload course-related content. You can create a Moodle site of yours to sell those courses, but I would admit Moodle does not have a very user-friendly interface so you may find it bit tedious.

To compliment your Moodle back-end you can use WordPress to be your front-end to take care of your SEO purpose and have a simple but easy to use user-interface not just for your users but also yourself.

There are the number of integration plugins which will take care of integrating Moodle with WordPress one of them is Edwiser Bridge.

But if you are good at marketing your site yourself then, you could even give Learndash a try for this purpose, here also you can set courses as per needs and upload videos or any other course-related content to it.

This thread has restored some of my faith!

Personally, I love Udemy. I think they are a great platform for selling videos.

But am I missing something?

Many of the options listed state they are free?

I have tried Udemy, they are cool and no techy for beginners. But one problem I faced is they keep changing and testing their system, making new rules so it gets complicated to get your course to approve. They sell your course for just $10 and $20 through coupons, which looses its exclusiveness. Finally the students you acquire becomes Udemy customers.

I now using my own website and a membership plugin to host my video courses.

You can sell it directly using PayPal.
Also Clickbank is a good option,
Use Kunaki if you intend to distribute on disc media.

I am not a technophobe, but I would not buy a video course in this way. I do not want to download and unzip huge video files as this might take a long time and I don't have that much storage space left on my main computer. I just want to watch the videos online on someone else's server.
