Another Reason to Post Your Articles on Your Site First

Today I woke up and checked my email to see an unexpected email from EZA. They had taken down one of my articles and locked my account temporarily. Apparently they had noticed several people trying to upload an identical article so they came to me asking if I knew why.

Now... this article was from when I first started using EZA. I didn't even have my own website yet. They asked if I could show them where it was posted on my website to help verify I was the original author. Of course I couldn't... and because of that they seemed very suspicious, asking if I had bought it as part of a PLR package or sold it as part of a PLR package. They eventually fixed my account, but it reinforces the idea that all of my articles should be posted on my site first!

Just thought I'd share the story to help you guys avoid this issue in the future.

After a lot of searching I found a site that was selling my article as PLR. I already emailed them and had the package taken down but it seems they had already sold dozens of the package.

Thanks for sharing that Amanda. I am thinking of adding more articles to that site so I will add them to my site beforehand.

    Thanks for sharing that tip.

Looks like these people who don't want to work, but love stealing people's stuff are on the increase.

What I don't get is how these people actually can stand themselves. They've got to know they are nothing but garbage wrapped in skin. As well as lacking morals and dignity, they are also usually not even a tad as bright as they think they are, so sooner or later they end up unwittingly exposing themselves and becoming the equivalent of a very loud and noxiously vaporous fart in a silent room.

It would at least behoove them to be embarrassed enough by their own existence to leave the rest of us alone.

Now I'm wondering how many of the people I've sent DCMAs to even know why. I'm sure many of them think they have the right to use the articles because they bought them from that shady PLR site.

I'm sure they know where they got the article, so, yes, they will realize they have bought stolen goods - if enough people get notices after posting content from that site, and go for refunds, they might end up getting kicked off their payment processors.

I've got my VA set up emailing people today with a DMCA. I'm expecting some angry emails from people who bought them so the thief is likely to see a lot of refunds.

    Hola,

It depends who you're working with. I've written articles for services that have preferred to see them published on my site first and I've written for services who wouldn't accept my offers if they were on my site. It's different everywhere you go. Just pick one you like, learn what their preferences are, and stick to em.
