WSOs using Wishlist Member

I'm creating my first WSO and the product delivery system I am using is Wishlist member. I have PayPal working fine with the site, but I'd like to use Warrior Plus and I'm wondering if anyone here has done this successfully.

My questions are (1) about the IPN since I want to offer affiliate commissions, but need to know if someone cancels their subscription since that will affect what they have access to. Any clues where I find this? Will I need to have someone create or generate this for me?

And (2) The delivery url- since WLMember and PayPal are integrated, after payment folks are supposed to be sent directly to the registration page. This works perfectly without W+ in the loop, but is there something specific I need to put in the "delivery page" section of Warrior Plus? I'm thinking I need the person directed to the registration page, but W+ doesn't like the PayPal "thank you" page.

I've been through most of my WSOs on WSOs, but no one talks much about the technical details. I'll check with WLMember, too, but any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I found the info on W+ to be very limited - would probably make sense if I knew more LOL.

Thanks - Katie

    Hola,

LUCKY! I am releasing my first WSO right now and don't yet have the luxury of using Wishlist Member, but I'll definitely be using it on the next one. Good luck with yours!

Thanks guys - appreciate your help.

Dave Carr - thanks so much for the link - I was pretty tired last night and didn't think to simply google it LOL

SOOOOO - the info on that thread (Anyone Make WSO Pro work with Wishlist Member?) is perfect! Read post #9 and #13 for the relevant info regarding how to get folks to the registration page.

I'm still a little confused about using the IPN to make sure PP sends me the info if they bought through an affiliate & they unsub from the continuity since that means they lose access to some of the features.

    Suggestions anyone????

Make the "delivery page" in Warrior Plus your reg page and have your autoresponder's thank you page be the actual download or delivery page.

I'm not sure how familiar you are with Warrior Plus but it does make sense.

In W+ you'll enter all the info asked into various fields and W+ will save it all. One of those fields asks for a URL for your product "delivery" URL. This might be your actual download page. It also might be an OTO. And it could be your product registration page. Each of these options represents various "parts" of a sales funnel.

Let's say you're building a list. Warrior Plus asks for the download url. But you want to capture your buyer's email first. You create a product registration page with an opitn box where the buyer "registers" by filling in his name and email. You put the url for that page in W+ and the buyer is directed there first.

When you create the optin box in your autoresponder you'll be asked where you want the subscriber directed after hitting the submit button. That page is often called a "Thank You" page, which in this case it's going to be your download page.

So instead of making the WLM registration page the Delivery Page in W+, I would make a separate Delivery Page with an email capture and the Thank you page for the email redirects to the WLM registration page?

Makes sense and sounds rather brilliant if I'm understanding it correctly...

Yep. You've got it. But there's even more potential here. Before you register your buyer why not send them to a page where they can buy something else? This is known as an upsell or one time offer (OTO).

If they buy, they'll go through the payment process again. The PayPal delivery page (or your 3rd party provider) will send them to a different reg page, one where they register both products. But this time they're sent to a download page where they get the first product and the OTO.

If they don't buy, they're sent to the reg page just for the primary product. After hitting the submit button they're sent to the download page for just the primary item.

Actually wanting to avoid an OTO this time. I thought about it but bundled it into the product itself. There are actually 3 parts already and I have bundled my membership product (part 1 - single purchase price) with a continuity (part 2 - no charge first month, charge 2nd, etc). Sign up for that could be taken care of through your idea and part 3 sign up could be in place of an OTO, with that AR thank you going to the registration for part 1. That sort of semi-automates it rather than having them get another email that tells them to go somewhere else to register again.

Gives me a headache, but I think that will work. I'm not going to do any upsell here, but think I need to clearly explain to folks what's going on. So I'll do a mindmap/flowchart to make sure I'm clear about the flow.

              >>>Now, the remaining question is:

How do I make sure I get notified by PayPal when someone who purchased under an affilate link unsubs from the continuity? It will require me to manually adjust a feature they have access to (the part 2 above - no real way for me to automate that since it's on another site), and I need the notification so I can do that.

If you can answer that, TravelinGuy, you become my **NEW HERO**

I'm not sure what you mean by this and if it has anything to do with Wishlist or not. Warrior+ is integrated with PayPal and you get your notice from them as well as a sales entry in your PayPal account.

W+ is set up so that the affil gets the full pay on a proportionate # of customers they send - so basically if I offer 50% - and they send 10, then they get the pay for 5 and I get 5. If one of the affil purchasers cancels 2 months out, then how will I know?

I could have set the continuity up as a separate product, but I'm thinking about customer experience here and don't want too many hoops for the person to get access.

But right now I think I'll go take a walk and clear my head LOL. thanks

Travlinguy - thanks for your PM help and suggestions, very much appreciated!

I picked up your WSO WSO & enjoyed it-lots of good stuff in there, very easy to follow.

Edit: ----It does appear that PP notifies when the person unsubs, even if from an affiiate sale.
