WSO Sellers beware - we have a scammer in our midst

Just a heads up to all WSO sellers especially the ones using Warriors+ there is a person sending out emails claiming he bought one of your WSOs through an affiliate link and wants a refund.

In his email he goes on to tell of how he has tried repeatedly to get a refund through the affiliate but gets no response and then goes on to claim he will report you and the affiliate if he doesn't get it soon.

He signs his emails with the signature RG and uses a gmail account to notify you.

When I got the email a few days ago I emailed him right back and said please reply back with the Paypal trans IDs and I will be glad to take care of it. Of course he never replies back because he has no such proof.

Anyway just wanted to let you guys know of a possible scam that could be pulled on you.

Take care

Whats really stupid is the guy logs into his Warriors+ account and copies and pastes the info about your WSO to you in the email. I mean links and all. Sadly he doesn't reveal his Warriors+ ID or I would report him to Mike. He at least is smart enough to keep that info out of his copy and paste requests for a refund.

Who would ever refund someone without a transaction id in order to look up the transaction?

Do people really fall for this?...unbelievable.

I have em all the time on my micro workers sites. In fact the last one stated I ripped him off on cheapbusinesslists. That site got a mailware attack and hasn't been up for like four years. He finally went to the wayside and quit.

If he is publicly declaring his request. The publicly ask him to post his transaction ID with the product code as proof of purchase.

In my opinion Vendor/Purchaser complaints should not be allowed to be posted here for that very reason. It's always the Vendor that ends up like the scammer and that is the desired effect.

I would never fall for this. No one even gets customer service from me without giving me the correct Paypal email address they purchased with... and everyone else should be just as cautious.

If anyone falls for something like this then I'm afraid it is only through their own stupidity.

Would you ever give someone a refund without first checking their payment details? I sure as hell would not.

Besides, I don't see how this 'scam' is suppose to work? How is this person going to get money from you? What, you are going to send it to their Gmail email address? Who on earth would do that? Even if they somehow got a transaction id or email address of one of your real customers if you refund the original transaction only the proper customer would receive the funds.

I just don't understand the 'scam' behind this.

Maybe it was an actual customer wanting a refund and he just hasn't gotten back to you yet.

The scam is he is hoping to catch some new WSO sellers who might not be aware of how the affiliate system works with Warriors+

He is hoping to catch someone foolish enough to send him the money to the gmail address he provides.

No, it's not a customer you can tell he just copies and pastes from the "View Available Offers" section. He leaves the table rows intact and everything in his email. He just edits out his ID so you can't report him.
