What do I do now?

I have what I believe to be a genuinely good idea for an IM product, nobody is doing this, the market is wide open for my product but... I don't have the money, contacts or know how to create a product like this so I want to sell the idea on or even give it away (for a cut of the profits of course) but where do I find someone that would be interested?

Other than going through automated support systems for the big name guru's I don't know how to contact the right people and I can't imagine that working too well. I know Jonathan Leger has a forum where I could place the idea but I'm reluctant to put what I believe to be a seriously good product idea on a public forum.

Any suggestions?

    There are sites and companies out there that let you submit product ideas and if they think it's a good idea, they may help you develop it. Just make sure to choose a legitimate company.

    If it's something you can copywrite or patent, you may want to look into doing that first.

      I have heard of these sites too. you should try them out. this is really a good idea.

    Depends on what product it is. Alot of research goes into product creation for me. I would be willing to work with you. I supply the money and my talents you supply the hours. But I will not work if my testing does not prove it will be a profitable niche.

    P.m. me with your idea. I will not steal it and may say no off the bat. but I promise you, your idea has probably been thought of before.

    Try a joint venture with someone here. Have them sign a nondisclosure agreement first. Although this is no guaranty an idea/product will not be taken here in the US it's good for a year before it becomes public domain.

    Remember that there are two reasons an idea/product is not out; 1. no one has really thought of it and , 2. there is no market for it.

    Do market research before going into something full bore.

      ^^Great Idea, also write a business plan etc. If you wanna be taken seriously then come corrects with everything ready to go and you just might make your own luck.
