Hi all,

I was wondering what the most important marketing method was.

Boy is that a loaded question? And one that everybody will have a different opinion of. Money to survive while you figure it all out will help tremendously.

If you have the funds and want quick results, I'd have to say PPC, or media buys would be the quickest.

It can also be the quickest route to scratching a broke a$$ .

Other, than that I'd say quality content and good keyword research will
take you along way not to mention proper SEO.

All of the above are pretty much traffic generation strategies apart from list building. List building is what you do when you have the traffic. Yes list building is the one that will make you the money, (therefore people will consider the most important) but you can't build the list to make the money without the traffic. All of these work in tandem so there is no real answer.

You can't do anything without traffic and the best one for traffic in my opinion is article submission and therfore probably the most important.

Hi I have used article submission on and off for a few years now and it always worked ok with getting some traffic to my sites but more for the help it gave with the rankings because of the back links.

The same with Social Bookmarking I get some traffic and as I mostly use it for my adsense sites it’s ok .

Squidoo/Hubpages pages are something I’m using more now than I ever did; I’m seeing good results from them still but mainly as a way of improving search position.

And have good results with my list building using forum sigs and still use a few giveaways events and free viral ebooks.

So they all have use in building your business to some level I think

I was checking the pool at the start of this thread, and I noticed that more votes were cast for the "Other" method. I wonder what those "Other" methods might be?
