How do I set up a Wiki?

Hello Everyone, I'm new to Warrior as of today - so bear with me. I've heard about Wikis, and how they may help to get traffic and better search engine ratings, but I don't have any idea how to go about it. (I only heard about Wikis today as it happens. Any help would be much appreciated - believe me!

(of course, assuming you know what FTP is, you do have a hosting and a domain and you do know how to mess with databases, users and passwords)

You like to start your own wiki site or you want to post in a wiki? If you like to start your own wiki site then you can use free and open source php scripts that are available on net. A simple google search will be enough to find these scripts.

  Wikis are a completely different animal and take some getting used to. If you don't already have a blog, I'd start there first. They're much more intuitive.
  
  If you're just using a Wiki for traffic and rankings (i.e. non-commercial use), I'd recommend DokuWiki (http://www.dokuwiki.org/dokuwiki). It's a file-based system, so it's very easy to setup, but is not as scalable as something like MediaWiki.

The best ones are DokuWiki and MediaWiki. do a search on google.com and hotscripts.com you'll find interesting ones.
