Traffic Source Testing Product - Good idea or bad?
Hey all,
Just had this thought as I was getting ready for bed and getting my guide dog up and around to go lay down. Any way I wanted to get this written down before I lost it since my mp3 players dead and I can't record it...
Any way, the idea is to provide a product(low to medium ticket price) where in each month I test any where between 1-4 different traffic sources.
For instance there has been some buzz on the wf about adfly as a traffic source.
I would test it over a week or two with a goal of x number of visitors, a benchmark CTR, bounce rate, conversion rate, etc and see how it stacks up.
In doing this I would provide a video case study highlighting things like its target demographic, target market, status(good, bad or mediocre)
I would post a weekly request for traffic sources not already covered at the beginning of every week, pick one, test it for a week or so with a members new site and with their permission create a video case study to be shared amongst the group. I could then at the end of either every quarter or at the end of the year create a dvd or set of dvds with the video case studies for people to have a physical copy of things on hand for later reference.
The point being is that this would hopefully at least give people a heads up as to whether to add it into their business or stay away from it like the plague...

P.s. Maybe even throw in a mastermind group, premium wordpress and joomla themes and plugins as an added value.
