INSTALLING A NEW THEME OF WORDPRESS

Hello. I want to install a new wordpress theme on my blog.
Will i lose all the work i have already done?
I have this domain four months now.

    Of course not. All posts and pages are stored in a database and is not related to the theme. If you have anything on your theme that is theme specific, then yes, that will go away. But if anything goes bad you can just change it back to the old theme.

    The joy of Wordpress is that you don't lose your content (that's safely tucked away in its database) when you apply a new theme.

    If you don't like the new look, you can just go back into "Appearance" and apply the old one or try another without any ill effects.

    No, you won't lose any work, unless the new theme has inconsistency with some plugins you have previously installed.

    Before making any changes, backup your data with some wordpress plugin. Here is a good one: WordPress › WP-DB-Backup « WordPress Plugins

    One area that needs attention is the sidebar widgets. Sometimes a theme uses custom sidebars and a new theme may not display those so if you have text widgets, you might want to copy the html/text in those widgets.

    Also, when you install a new theme, you can preview it before you activate it to see what your site will look like right out of the gate.
