Eating your way to success in marketing and life!

Folks, I'm rocking it like nobody's business.

At the beginning of the new year, I made a promise to myself that I would go farther this year than I ever have in my Internet Marketing business. And in just a few weeks, I've accomplished more productive work than I did all of last year and I'm still not finished.

For me it's a mind thing and I find that eating better and getting a bit of exercise helps to clear my mind better than anything artificial like RedBull or drugs. That stuff only seems to cloud my mind, which ain't productive.

So I attribute a lot of the mental and physical energy I have lately to a big change in my diet. I take vitamin supplements (especially D3) in the morning with a light breakfast full of protein, snack on fruit and raw veggies between meals and drink lots of clean water free of fluoride and chlorine and even though it's winter here and I'm a lazy *******, I walk every day.

When my mind is clear I can express myself more clearly and whether you're writing, coding, designing or marketing, you're expressing yourself and the more effective you are at it the better results you have.

Anyway, I just wanted to share something I thought might be a little inspiring for you. We all need that sometimes.

Paul

I was wondering if anyone has the same experience. About a month ago, I did the same for two weeks. Man... It was awesome. However, I'm back to the old way of doing things. I should follow what you're saying Paul again.

THis is actually a good time for me to read this post. I'll go for a walk tomorrow morning.

    Hey Paul,

Thanks for sharing. Productivity comes from making a decision. Most people tend to be indecisive - waiting for something - the right moment, the right time, getting enough money... That's why things take too long.

You are damn right about exercising. It recharges your system. Also, when you exercise there's pain, depending on the intensity. That's how you actually train your emotions to endure pain (increasing your tolerance to dig deeper) :-) That's equivalent to enduring failures or when something does not work to keep working on it, until all comes together.

    Way to go friend,
    Keep going!

A healthy change in diet, plus a moderate amount of exercise will do wonders for your mental outlook and energy levels! If you add a bit of mediation to the mix, then you should definitely notice some life-enhancing improvements in your daily routine.

The soft-core caffeine drugs such as Red Bull, coffee, and Vivarin-like products will provide physical stimulation--not mental focus. I discovered in the past that when I tried when of the caffeine options, my heart would race and my mind could think of 5 things at once. However, I couldn't seem to focus my thoughts on any one thing to get something done.

Thanks a lot for the lifestyle tip!

About ten years ago I read Absolute Power by Tony Robbins, and he sold me on the idea of fruit for breakfast, salad for lunch, and a healthy dinner (usually fish or chicken)

I am not surprised to be healthier, and to have more energy, than people half my age. I believe it is really true that something like 70% of our energy is used by our digestive system when we don't eat healthy food.

From an IM perspective, how much more could you get done if you saved some of that energy for more profitable work?

Great tips. I always make sure i take my Centrum multi vitamin when i wake it. It gives me energy and improves my health. You should also consider taking Apple Cider Vinegar everyday. You want the Organic kind (Bragg's), and it can be found at your local health food store. It's healthy, and will boost your health like nothing else. Just take 2 teaspoons of it with 8 ounces of water, and you will be good to go.

While I agree with everything you said, this part really sticks out. Like you, I made a promise to myself to be healthier in 2012 (no more Cokes to get going in the morning, or skipping out on my daily run because I'm "too busy", eating better foods, etc) And, like you, I feel a whole lot better for doing it.

On busy days, I used to tell myself I didn't have time to even go for a quick jog. Seriously, though, if you don't have 20 or 30 minutes to do something to take care of yourself (both physically and mentally), you've got to change something. Now, I work out just about every day. Getting off the desk chair and out into the sunshine helps to clear my head, ease my stress, and makes me feel better for the rest of the day.

If you're not taking care of yourself, you can't possibly count on yourself to take care of your business!

One's work is only as healthy as the food he eats! This is really great advice. A lot of people who work on the computer, and from home tend to neglect their physical needs. You can never rule out the importance of exercise and a healthy diet so that you can perform to your full potential on a day-to-day basis. Great stuff!

Drink Green tea with this new diet of yours...Drink lots of green tea...Give it time to do its work...

Green tea - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Don't buy the cheap stuff, get the best quality you can (for a reasonable price).

Don't over infuse it. 2-3 min max! Do not put it in to boiling water!!!! Let the water cool for 5 min then infuse.

Sweeten with a big spoon of honey. (No medicinal advantage that I know of but tastes awesome and makes me want to drink it all day)

    You will not be sorry!
