Ha! That's funny. I just downloaded a free 30 day trial of camtasia because I wasn't happy with the quality of camstudio. Log on here and of course first thing I see is this thread. Nice.

I love camtasia so far. I'll probably buy it when my 30 days are up. The built in editing features are great, and the quality of the picture is really nice.

As for other tools, I use photoshop daily. I have to put that art school education to practice, so I design all my own graphics. Just today I was designing a sleek power point template for a video course I'm working on.

When I make ebooks I use OpenOffice. Does pretty much everything Microsoft office does, except that it's free.

So far I like Market Samurai. It's a bit slow though, but that might of course be my computer that is the cause, although that's unlikely.

Having used both, comparing Camstudio to Camtasia is like comparing a Ferrari Enzo to a Datsun 120Y.

Is Camtasia any good for animation? I think of it as primarily screencasting software. Windows movie maker is serving my purposes right now (my promo videos are basically just slideshows with narration added)
