Anyone know how to get twitter followers?

Using software these days will get your twitter account banned. Your best bet is to do it manually... Go to search type @whateveryoulike and then follow people who have the same interest as you

Post relevant, quality content and communicate with people. Retweeting profiles with high engagement and a large following can help speed up the process.

Yes I do know, this guy is awesome, I just met him but his software rocks and if you follow the way it is already set up you won't get banned off twitter, you start getting greedy then yes you will be banned.

I dont agree with that, yes quality content is important, but using leverage for your business is also important

Nobody can promise you won't get banned.. These companies get very smart and all of a sudden "BOOM".. once you're doing well they take it all away from you...

Look at what happened to all the people making money from Megavideo and megaupload

Everyone said "Oh don't worry nothing will happen"

Now people have thousands of dollars they will never get paid. Plus lost their future income.

Using automated programs that take advantage of API's is asking for trouble.

I would love to get 10,000 followers in less than a month!

The only way I know how to get followers is to come across as authentic and try to solve as many problems people have.

And make sure you ignore users without a photo, and ignore users with links on their latest tweets. This is to ensure you arent just following a bunch of bots.

People are getting 10,000 fans by the uses of software and services like fiverr.

You do better to build your traffic manually, so you will have targeted visitors, won't get banned, if you develop a relationship with your followers on twitter, some of them will be customers for your business.

Also you can use search engines like search.twitter.com to find targeted traffic

Just my opinion - 10,000 is just a number, if I can get 100 targeted fans than I am doing a lot more to help my business

TA doesnt use the API. Everything is done from the web. Which means as long as you use REALISTIC delays, you have nothing to worry about. I been doing this for years.

You just want to make sure that whatever your accounts are doing, a HUMAN can do in the same amount of time. Just because you CAN use these tools to spam the hell out of the web does NOT mean you should.

the whole process of marketing is to give and offer value, but I still think software and systems, and outsourcing is important for a successful business, doing it manually to me, is not logical to looking at it rom a serious business point of view, unless you have an outsourcer getting followers for you thats different

yea I hear you guys on that software method. But truthfully speaking Just about all of my Internet methods especially when dealing with Social Media, are usually by me putting in the elbow grease to get results

If you all are doing well with software that's fine but imho, its just not needed.

I guess outsourcing for twitter is ok, as long as your outsourcer is getting you targeted traffic. But services like fiverr, just send general traffic which doesn't help me at all

@mlj, this thread is asking about followers - not traffic.

Although I do have to agree with part of your posts - Followers are also useless if they are not targeted.

I would hurry up though, As most of us know, once something is overused, it becomes less effective and I do see drops in FB and Twitter for driving traffic. I do not see drops in Craigslist but I do see CL changing the way things are done and making it harder to drive the traffic.

See that has always been our biggest problem, getting in on something on the ground floor, before its grounded.

I've been using Twitter to get quite a bit of traffic. I use it to drive people to my blogs and to my squeezepages. There are definitely ways to get hundreds of followers FAST & FREE.

To get followers in my niche I like to target the followers of some other "Guru" or Influencer in my market. For example, if I'm gonna sell kitchenware I might target Martha Stewart's followers. I do a search and find their twitter "handle" (starts with an @ symbol).

Once I know who's followers I'm going to target, I go over to Tweepi.com and use their "Follow Followers" tool to mass follow about 200-500 in one sitting. I'll usually wait about 3-5 days to give those accounts time to follow me back. Then I go back to Tweepi and use their "Flush" tool.

To automate the rest of it, there are online tools that'll let you preschedule tweets so that you don't have to be online everyday to produce content and you can also send automated follow up messages that go out to new followers which can automatically drive them where ever you want.

The fastest way to get more twitter followers is to start following people in your niche. You can use Twellow.com or Twibes.com to do this.

I think FlashTweet is a mass follow tool that simplifies the process of adding your twitter friends. You can see who you are following that is following you back.

use tweetattack . follow 500-1000 peoples and use twitterfeeds for autotweets . twitter has got a 10% limit per 2000 followers . so if you follow 2000 people and 10% do not follow back you would not be able to follow any more . so keep unfollowing those who dont follow you back . look for #autofollowback . this whole team will follow you back and will help you build your account .

Funny enough, I just created a report on this very thing.

There are twitter accounts that acts as a hub of the industry you're interested in, say you are a business of web design, there are actually twitter accounts that people who are interested in web design follows! So what you have to do is see that particular profile and start following its followers and eventually they follow you back! What I've learnt using twitter is that they always return the favour, they always follow you back!

I have over 7000 followers, and I follow less than 100 people.

Did I buy these followers? No. I used to follow lots and lots of people relevant to my interests, making it clear I'd follow back in return. This is all really.

I eventually did a mass unfollow (this was back when things like the list features didn't exist), simply because I couldn't keep up with 7000 people tweeting. I now only follow who I want to, and I don't worry about follower count. I actually had over 10'000, so I've lost around 3000 since doing a mass unfollow.

I think the important thing is to just focus on building your credibility. You can't buy targeted followers and expect them to automatically be interested in what you have to say, and you certainly can't expect to make money from them that way.

Once people follow you you should keep on posting relevant content so they stay tuned to you...
