I wanted to share some more vital information that I learned from Maria Veloso in "Web Copy That Sells". She calls it her "...foolproof secret to success..." I call it simple, but genius! Step 1. Know exactly what you want to accomplish. Define your objective. Very specifically. For example, do you want to sell 10 products a day? Or $500 dollars per day? Or 7% conversion rate? Think about it before product launch. How can you meet your goal if you don't know exactly what it is?!? Step 2. Act Towards Your Goal. Including writing the sales letter, sending out the emails, getting the traffic. Do everything you think will help achieve your goal. Step 3. Observe What Works And What Doesn't. I think this may be the most important step. If you observe enough... ...no matter how ugly your first attempt at selling was... ...you will see what is working and what is not. Simply put by Maria, "Do more of what's working, and eliminate what's not working." Sounds simple. Makes sense. Step 4. Keep Adjusting Until Goal Is Met. Keep working on Step 3 until you have met your goal. At which point you may want to make a new goal...who knows!?! Hope it helps. ~Sarah Johnson PS. Does anyone have anything they think needs added? Or subtracted? |

This doesn't just apply to advertising...This applies to life. Thanks for sharing it.

i couldn't agree more with the importance of making your goals very specific. if they aren't specific, your brain will start making excuses!
