Newbies - help finding your niche...

As many of us know, finding a hot niche is vitally important for success on the internet and with that in mind I have spent the last few weeks putting together a 60+ page guide to finding your niche.

If there are any newbies here struggling to find their niche, then I'd like to make you an offer.

I'm happy to send over a free copy to you if, in exchange, you're willing to let me know:

a) Any positive comments you may have on the report that I can use on my sales letter, and...
b) What *you* feel would be a fair price for the report once you've finished reading it

Sound fair enough?

I will send out a free copy tomorrow to the first 20 people to respond to this thread...

Looking forward to hearing from you!

All the best,
Richard

I currently am trying to figure out my niche, what I want to market, and what direction I want to take it. Your Article/Report might be a great help for me.

I will agree to your terms and would be happy to comment and/or write you a little letter or article about its content.

    Thanks

This should be a well visited thread since...

    - Lots of people at this forum think selling how to make money stuff is all there is to conducting online business.

    - Their chances of success are greatly enhanced if they choose to operate outside that most competitive niche.

    Greetings Richard, & WF,

Joe here, a new arrival on the scene; of course a newbie guide would be a wise thing to ask for.

I know there are more than 20 here already.
Perhaps another value-exchange may be offered ... I have a bit of an editorial eye; spelling, context (their or they're ... to, two or too) subject-verb agreement, and perhaps a suggestion to improve flow.

Reducing semantic errors increases professional presentation.

Hmmm ... you seem a nice bunch of guys, focused on the business of business, from Finland to Australia. I'm in Vancouver.

    Priorities matter, particularly at beginnings.
Looks like learning WordPress is a foreground priority.
Can I afford host4profit, or can I afford not siting there?

I do photography, among other things - seawall.ca

Looking forward to learning with you.

    Be well,

    Joe

    Greetings Richard,

Thank you for a review-copy of your Niche Marketing Wizard.

I've given it a first scan with an editorial eye and made of list of typos, word-flow glitches, and a few odd thoughts. There is always room for improvement of a manuscript. Fewer errors increase professionalism.

I'm a new arrival on the Warrior Forum; joe-van ... Joe from Vancouver.

I have a tip-o-the-hat greeting page at www seawall ca about me
You may browse my seawall.ca website for a taste of my photographic & writing repertoire.

Whilst I'm not averse to poetry, sometimes it doesn't quite mesh with business discussions.

Bruce Cockburn - Waiting on a Miracle

Perhaps you can incorporate these corrections and send a 'New Improved' copy to your subscribers.

There are many kinds of niches. Is there a need for an editorial eye in the ebook production community? I'm not talking so much of the C & D lists. A few key suggestions may be enough to nudge a document from the B+ list to the A- list. Is this a service some may pay for?

I've a great deal to learn, true; but there are also things I may teach. Symbiosis builds relationships - mutually beneficial life-forms. Maintaining access to the classroom in such a rapidly evolving area as the Internet is a point of interest.

My web-site is far from optimum. Focusing on content & photography neglects integration and marketing. It is a journey of many steps. Still, I've made a startling (to me) amount of money from photography sales in the last year. Much of the catalogue is online, most of the orders are local. There are many other web-site niches to cultivate, as you so eloquently survey. To work.

Oh, I'm planning to move another web-site over to host4profit. It'd be nice to find a Warrior who'd like the $10/mo residual for maybe an occasional tag of assist. Perhaps I can get off a disability pension and become self-supporting.

What part of the UK do you live in?

These are just some textual glitches that may be priority corrections. The conceptual review will follow in a few weeks, when I've made time to explore, test, and gather evidence. Currently I'm going to be listening to Chris Farrell's web-broadcast this afternoon, then dealing with a tax concern, and other life-chores.

It's been a pleasure making your acquaintance, Richard. Hope I've been of some assistance.

    Be well,

    Joe

If you have a specific business model in mind, bare it in mind from the outset.
Should be "bear" in mind; carry, rather than naked.

Hmm ... the index isn't paginated - odd choice - apparently you prefer readers not jump ahead to specific topics without understanding the frame of reference.

    11 of 63
Hopefully, dear reader you appreciate things aren't that easy and that these gurus who teach such things either don't know the full extent of what they're trying to teach or choose not to tell you.
Nice to see "dear reader" exercised. It has a reciprocal, "dear writer". Communication is a relationship activity, relating, which requires work from both parties.
In this case "dear reader" should have commas on both sides, like a proper noun; "Hopefully, Earnest, you appreciate things aren't that easy ..."

[Sub-text; "The Importance of Being Earnest"

    & the importance of earnings.]

Surface text; if you're going into business you must learn to exercise prudence. Not all teachers are competent, nor on your side; not all lessons are easy.

Santayana said, "Skepticism is the chastity of the intellect." You don't want to be giving your time, money (or cherry) to the first wisps of flattery you hear. "Too good to be true" often is. Intellectual rigor requires review of evidence, verification from other witnesses, substantiation, proof. Intelligent exploration need not be virginally shy; it can be bold, its requirements are not fake, and once an assertion has passed its tests, a fresh conviction can be tucked in the tool-kit.

    11 of 63
Another new name to me, Andrew Hansen, search turned up ... PayPal critique, Warrior thread , Mike Filsaime, a Vegas Vince rant with more than a few typos; PayPal requires competent competition. There are lots of names to learn.

The niches you find should be your most closely guarded secrets of all. By all means tell someone how you built a blog quickly or increased your subscriber numbers. But don't reveal your niches. Ever. After all, that's why the "gurus" never tell you about their non-Internet marketing sites. They know full well that if they publicize them, a dozen copycats will be launching competing sites within days.
And with that their cash cows will start drying up - and they might actually have to start doing some work ;-)

    Wow!

In this case there may be no evidence to examine.

The principle of brainstorming niches is simply to come up with ideas - lots of them. Infact, while it multiplies up the work involved considerably,
    "In fact," space again.

For the sake of clarity I thought it might be fun to actually complete a case study as we go so I will be doing some actual niche research with you as we hope in the hope that it illustrates the niche process clearly. With that in mind, let's start looking for killer niches...

Of course, in order to sell a website there, the vendor generally has to give out a variety of information on what money they're making and how. And that creates an amazing opportunity for
