Pre-roll Youtube ads...

My PPC manager has asked me to create a pre-roll ad for use on YouTube. I've read that pre roll ads are incredibly powerful but the only examples I can see on YT are movie trailers. Are there any warriors out there who know their way around what makes an effective pre roll ad?

    Just create a video that
    1) Introduces the viewer to your product
    2) Describes your product
    3) Promotes your product.

    Done. But if it is a longer (30 second) one, then make sure that you get them hooked at the beginning, or else they can just click on skip ad.
