  I think hes right, it only counts people with alexa toolbar because thats how they track visitors. Most people with an alexa toolbar are internet savvy and wont buy into most products on the internet.

If you are really interested in increasing alexa ranking "only" then goto adfly and buy 10000 visits for 5$.Forex Niche is very hard to get in coz too many big player's.

Wow... Never realized Alexa only counts those with the toolbar... Always thought Alexa does it magically... Thanks Andyhenry for the great info... @fxstay: Your best bet is to do all of the ff: List building, social media, ad swaps, and offline and online advertising...

It can, arguably, have some tangential relevance to people either selling a website or selling advertising space on one, whose potential clients may imagine that it's of some value or relevance, but apart from that, one can simply forget it altogether.

Alexa is a complete waste of time. Please do not get into the thinking that the lower the Alexa rank the higher the traffic. As this is not the case at all.

Look at it like this, I could have a site about selling goldfish with a rank of 5,000000
that gets 50,000 uv's a month.

I could also have a site about flipping sites, or seo that has a rank of 700,000 that only gets 1000 uv's a month.

All this means is that the visitors that go to my seo site are a lot more likely to have the Alexa toolbar installed. Alexa sucks for gauging traffic period.

So I'd forget all about Alxea if I were you

Buy traffic. If there is a special place that needs you to have the Alexa rank or even if you are on a bet or something and have a bit to innvest, try getting media buys from high-traffic sites.

i really tried most of the services before on my other sites but those are not really useful just wasting time and money ....show me a way that do it by myself

I don't think you should try and get 'fast' traffic, since fast traffic is rarely ever 'real' traffic. You need to focus all your efforts towards social media marketing (promoting your website on Facebook, Twitter, Google + and any other social media platform that comes to your mind) and search engine optimization. Create authoritative backlinks to your website so that it ranks higher on search engines and thus when people search a targeted keyword, your site will be the one they visit. There is a huge potential for traffic increase using these methods alone, but by no means can I guarantee that it is as simple as I am making it sound here; nor is it as quick as you wish it to be.

About linkwheels, I can offer you two factual comments ...

(c) Call me a skepchick, but in a forum in which so many members sell/promote linkwheels (however discredited they are!) as part of their SEO services, it may be a little difficult to gather objective information, and with no disrespect to anyone, the consensus of opinion may not be an altogether independent one.

Look, I'm not trying to be rude to you (I promise!! ) but there's no point in getting visitors to this site as it stands now. Nobody arriving there, who has English as a first language, is going to manage to read even the first sentence of the first item shown on the landing-page. It's just gobbledygook - it's barely English at all.

I'm baffled as to why someone is concerned to increase traffic and to reduce "Alexa rank" with a site where nobody's going to stay more than 20 seconds anyway ... what's going on, here? :confused:

  You could go after off page SEO - but first.. The on Page SEO is Horrid at best... The off page will be a waste of time without good on page optimization and I agree with Alexa - Not being rude... but the bounce rate on that site will be close to 99.99% with a 14 second time on site value.
  
  You got a lot of valuable input here... but i don't see you taking the time too recognize the sound advice and principals you received...
  
  Start with the Site First ON PAGE SEO
  Then worry about OFF PAGE SEO
  
  Then worry about SERPS and Rankings...

I agree with what everyone is saying about the alexa rating. I had a site that had an alexa rating around 70,000 but the traffic was horrible and made no real return on my investment with it. I was using a type of link exchange called a "tribe" but it seemed like to me all of these people in the "tribe" were the only ones going to the website which led me to a low alexa rating. Your best bet is making a good presence on facebook, twitter, linkedin, etc and make some quality content for the website. . . . just my 2 cents
