Gut Check- Do You REALLY have what it takes?

Ok,

so I've been checking out the forums over the past
few days and I want to tell you what I see a lot of...

BULLS**T TALKERS!!! People who know what to do...
how to do it.... why it works.... even how much money
it'll make... but yet I've seen the same people talk about
their idea for the last three days with absolutely no
implementation!

Here's are some of my keys:

1.You don't need anyone's permission to move forward with your ideas.
a. you surely don't need "pump up fluff" before moving on with your
ideas... like "Yeah man, killer idea, do it.... take action!" NO!
Don't need this.

2.You don't need to try and make things perfect whats so ever. MISTAKES ARE GOOD,
because you can learn from them/fix them.

3. Do NOT BE a practice All American. In college, we'd give the players on my team a hard time who never were good enough to compete... but come practice time they BUSTED their ass like crazy...

I consider this forum practice. It's an INCREDIBLE source of information... but don't be a practice all american... who knows everything, is first to help noobs out, and has racked of 5000 posts with absolutely no base online business going... Get in the DAMN GAME!

Not going to lie...

when I first started online I was ALL of those things above...
but then once I realized I need to do things my way, and
not worry about other people, or their thoughts of me...

that's when my business catapulted... It wasn't but a year,
year and a half back that I had ZERO confidence in myself
and my ability to earn online... but once I switched on the
"Don't Think- JUST DO" mentality, it has been nothing but
confidence and success since.

So do something every single day to BETTER your business,
whether it be an edit to your sales page, or create a whole
product... or anything in between, just do SOMETHING.

Don't get wrapped up for 4-5 hours on this forum learning,
learning, learning... but not doing...

      YES! I like to think the road to success is long... but it's just straight ahead...
      it may be a grueling walk that'll take a long time... but as long as you take one step after the next you can't get lost and eventually you'll get there..

        The sad truth is some people will never do anything entrepreneurial no matter what you tell them, give them, show them. It's just not in their dna. On the other hand that's probably a good thing or there wouldn't be anyone to serve us in restaurants and at the phone company.

    I agree wholeheartedly that "taking action" is necessary to achieve results in building an online business. I have seen the same mentality work in numerous offline industries as well; I can't count the number of times that I have been "thrown into the fire" on a new job with little education as to how the fire started! This forced me to spend less time on learning and more time on "doing"--creating solutions, even if those solutions were not perfect. "Perfecting" the solutions came in the form of optimization after the fire was over...

    Thanks for the timely reminder to not spend too much time in the the "learning" mode.

      Oh this is true. If I'd understood that when I first joined the forums, I wouldn't just now be starting to take action. Confidence definitely comes with action and through mistakes. You can't learn from reading, only from doing.

        I wish everyone could experience the "back against the wall" feeling of being out of options, and knowing you HAVE to succeed doing this stuff. When people are put in that animal instinctive type of mindset... doing becomes easy and you'll work yourself until you have to sleep... thinking becomes irrelevant. And success becomes inevitable.

        I remember thinking how much I HATE sleep because it takes away from my actions... ha, extreme right?

        I'm just saying if you can convince yourself this is a must. and you HAVE to be successful with this... you have the action taking ability to make it happen! (Maybe not all of us... but most)

    Good post. Never give up and learn from your mistakes - heck it took me 2 years before I made any money online. You are right that you need to do your own thing but also learn from those who are successful and avoid the many get rich quick type offers. Set your target really low, like $2 a day to begin, something easily achievable and once you have that expand on it from there. Too many people fail because they are looking for the golden bullit from the start.

    Wonderful. I just want to add that let's make a plan of action and follow that. Then check the impact, tweak and split test, check the impact again until it reaches to the optimum. That's what I do. Takes some time. But works every time.
