WARNING Is your server a DDOS server...

is there a quick way to search for files on your server, i looked in cpanel but it does not seem to be on the file manager

i ask because i found a file under a wordpress theme in the cache folder called live.php

christ what a dangerous file, it was basically allowing people full info about the server, and was a web interface to create directories upload files etc

i also found a ddos file on the server, so yes i was hacked, perhaps it was the theme, perhaps not either way how can one scan a server for this file

also a warning to all check your domain is not being used as a zombie to do attacks

    On your server you should have at least have CSF (config server firewall) running, it's free and can be installed within Cpanel. It provides a whole range of security features like protection against port scanning, blocking of known spammer IPs and fixing many security holes.
