Do people pay for ideas in IM

I was reading this Getting Paid For Your Ideas - Web Money Guy and it got me thinking does anyone in the internet marketing world pay for ideas/ business concepts?

How developed do you think a business concept would have to be in order for someone to buy it?

Then again I'm guessing things like nondisclosure agreements etc. get in the way

    I actually sold two unique ideas on dp. It was fun doing too.

    I had an idea for a website and the domain name was available. It also had a huge search volume. Because it wasn't in my niche, I had no passion to build a site.

    So I sold the idea on DP. It was actually pretty fun.

    On one hand ideas are a dime a dozen because it's the execution that matters most. On the other hand, great ideas do indeed have value and I would personally pay for a good idea that I was interested in. It would be hard in practice though - I'm not going to pay you unless I like and want to pursue your idea, and you're probably not going to tell me your idea until I pay you. Kind of like the chicken and the egg ....

      I think that a good system to put those ideas into action might work much better than just the idea alone. I am sure that there is someone who will buy just the idea - but the thing is, if they are creative enough to make the idea work, chances are they are creative enough to come up with their own ideas in the first place.

    I don't know how many people would actually be willing to buy ideas from others, rather than using their own. Most people in IM are creative, independent people so I find it hard to foresee regular sales through this method. Unless somebody is also offering to execute their idea and then sell the entire package, I don't think this is a viable business idea tbh

    Well, some people are paying for ideas in the world of IM, which is that they buy lots of WSO's in order to have some ideas to apply of their own. But there are also people that doesn't need to pay for the ideas, they search and dig it by themselves till they found a goldmine.

    In my humble opinion, it would be great to sell your ideas but I would be MORE great to sell a stuff from your own ideas.

    Why? Because, you will known as the owner. If you sell your ideas then you just get money, you don't get the brand.
