Well, a WSO must be a product you created yourself. Not rehashed PLR. Classified doesn't have to be unique.

WSOs cost more and get less exposure on page one before they roll off of page one (around 6 hours on page one).

I've had not much response from running Classifieds but good response from WSOs. It really depends on your product.

I am not sure why you would want to. Once your thread falls off the first page, the only real way to drive traffic to it on the forum is through your signature.

What would be the pointing of linking to more than one then?

      Just thinking aloud here.

Just more exposure on the forum. Also, if the thread is staying on page one in the classified for alot longer than the special offers forum, it would mean you still have good exposure while your wso has fallen off page one on special offers.

        also thinking aloud

But the WSO Forum gets a ton more traffic than the Classifieds forum does.

The home page here used to list how many people were currently viewing each section. Looks like that's gone now, but I found a screen shot of the home page from last July on the Wayback Machine, and I doubt that things have changed substantially since then.

It shows 3,915 people viewing the WSO Forum, and only 305 people viewing the Warrior Products & Services section. And that's the Classifieds, Websites For Sale, Looking to Hire, and Warriors For Hire subforums combined, so the Classifieds section is a fraction of that.

I doubt that the longer time spent on the first page in Classifieds will make up for the tiny fraction of the potential traffic you'd get with a WSO.

Note that I said "potential" traffic; of course, you still have to get people to click on your particular thread. And if your product or service doesn't qualify as a WSO, you may be forced to post in Classifieds anyway.

When I released a WSO there were 4,500 people viewing that forum. I think that was last April I guess? WSO's get a LOT more traffic, I've posted a classified ad and got some traffic but nothing near what a WSO can provide.

Yea the traffic on that WSO section is crazy. I think they don't show the stats anymore but in the past I've noticed if there are 8,000 people online, 5,000 of them will be in that thread...all looking to spend money.

Definitely post in WSO -- I haven't been around for long but I frequently visit that section. There is always a lot of people who are constantly looking for information/product deals (like me)
