What maybe happens?

    It might be worth contacting hostgator if your site is there sometimes and then disappears.

    I would start by re-uploading the site. Is it a Wordpress site?

    You could go to wordpress.org and download Wordpress and re-upload it. That might solve the problem.

    Contact Hostgator. Tell them what's happening and ask them if they can fix it. If for some reason they don't do it, re-upload wordpress like Suzanne said.

    Looks like a silent-500 to me. Re-upload WP files and see if that works. Make sure you don't override your config file, though.
