Which Internet Marketer had the most impact on your life?

We have all had someone who had the most impact on us in our online marketing career. The one who got us to see the big picture. Here is a following list of the ones that really helped me, and how.

Ted Ciuba - Author of "Mail Order In The Internet Age" This was my first exposure to the online marketing world back in 2006. His book got me to fax in an $800 dollar order (yes fax was still being used in 06)
I soon after attended one of his seminars in Vegas and I was hooked. He taught me how to brain storm for products by just writing whatever is on your mind, and that anyone can learn good copywriting skills and make themselves a millionaire with focus and a willingness to make mistakes and look stupid until you make it.

Matt Bacak - I actually saw Matt Bacak do a talk at the Vegas seminar..He was 28 at the time, (one year older than me) and he flew to the conference on his own airplane. I realized why he had his own plane, after I paid $5,500 to attend one of his seminars. I don't regret it however, as two of my best friends in the world came from attending that event. Last I heard Matt is making around $300,000 per month online.

Rich Shefren - I have met Rich a few times and learned from him what it means to create a sustainable business online and the importance of outsourcing and systemizing operations.

Tim Ferris - Author of the Fout Hour Work Week. I met Tim about a year ago while traveling in Medellin Colombia. We were in tiny dark salsa club sitting about ten feet from each other. We talked for a bit..really cool guy. Tim really confirmed that the dream of travel and living your dreams should be done NOW, and to never wait for some time in the future. And also that no matter how bad you think things will get, it's always worse in your mind than can ever exist in reality. This makes it easier to jump instead of staying on the fence.

I could go on about all the many awesome guys I've learned under, the conferences I've been to and the attendees I've made life time friends with, but those marketers for sure had a huge impact on my initial years online.

Who were yours and what impact did they have?

One person who'd be near the top of my list would be Jason Fladlien. His whole approach of speed and taking action and 'just do it' attitude is certainly something that's helped me overcome procrastination and not to over-analyze things. I recently signed up for his Product eClass course and can't wait to get more high-quality training from him!

Well since being introduced to the article syndication method, it's multiplied my passion for IM by 1000.

It's also gave me a method in which I'm 100% passionate about (though I've still to implement it).

So I'd say Alexa Smith, mainly, but I've also been inspired by another few Warriors who implement this method.

I would have to say Corey Rudl.

He got my interest into internet marketing several years ago. If I never came across him, I would probably never got into it.

I would say Corey Rudl and Dan Kennedy; being so far advanced and ahead of their time. Their works are the foundation of almost all of the greats today. As a direct result of learning from them how to connect with customers, my own online/offline marketing strategies have barely changed at all during the last 16 years.

I agree on Dan Kennedy, I forgot to mention him..I think maybe because i've never really had exposure to him online..Just read his books on copywriting and marketing. He is awesome though.

Corey is also a legend..Didn't he die in a car accident some years back?

Dan kennedy and Steve Jobs... I know someone is going to say WTH Job's was not an Internet Marketer... I completely disagree he not only was an amazing Techie... but one KICK ASS Marketer Online and Offline...

If you have yet to read the new Auto-Biography of Steve Job's i highly recommend it.... as much as i admire him... he was kind of an A** H*** to most people...

But - He pioneered the ability to Get "A" Players to work together which was always been frowned upon in the corporate arena. This one tidbit here is quickly becoming a strong foundation to my business... I only choose by my choice to work with A players in my business and you should as well...

To your Continued Success Fellow Warriors...

Yes, unfortunately he did pass away in a car accident. It was a very sad loss!!

Tim Ferris for sure. His book the 4 hour work week completely changed my way of thinking. His book also mentions some great business solutions. Financial freedom is the ultimate goal.

Dan Kennedy, because his stuff is just...well....killer.

Frank kern, because his FREE stuff is about 10000000 times better then others paid BS.

I did have a mentor here in OZ, and sadly he passed away in December last year . Not well known in the US, but very well known here in oz. He will be sadly missed.

I've wanted to be a baller all of my life and I thought I would never have the chance because I'm white and can't rap. Ryan Eagle has given me a chance and I've taken it. Baller for life because of Ryan Eagle! I've got a lot of money and a good constant amount of stacks that keep coming in!

Man, I'm exposing my age on this one

A successful direct mail marketer by the name of Thomas (Tom) E. Mudry. That guy was "sick wit it"

His marketing skills were top notch and this was before the internet became popular with info marketing.

I used to speak with him on the phone every week. He was approachable, easy to talk to, and gave his phone number in just about every sales letter or book he wrote.

I never had a problem reaching him by phone, despite his busy schedule. He had his office set up in his home in topanga canyon in "cali"

He told me he was doing about 2 million per year just from direct mail, no internet. When direct mail marketers were happy with mailings that got 2-3% response/sales rates....he was averaging over 7%!...his highest was 20% from a new list.

His advertising tactics were stealth and highly effective. I've made money from imitating his advertising strategies.

He didn't invent them, but he definitely made them more effective and profitable.

    Many really,

when i find someone who is more successful than me in some area then i know i just found someone to learn from....if they can also teach what they do in a smooth way then i'm on a roll...

We can get exposed to so many people with credibility and experience that is impossible to follow them all. We are forced to pick and select the info we need at the moment and move on with our projects....

I take what i need and move on.

I like Tim Ferris a lot. His advice on productivity and time management have helped me out a great deal.

I also have come across some stuff from Dan Kennedy that I find to be really clever and interesting to read. He's really got an interesting way of marketing himself and there's a lot to learn not only by what he teaches but by the way he himself is positioning his products and image.

And there's Trey Smith - I think he's a seriously under rated marketer. I've learned so much from his blog and list and all I ever bought was a very low end deal (less than $40) out to his list. The guy has several niche products on ClickBank and is killing it.

Unfortunately he's doing a bunch of app related stuff that doesn't interest me much.

    Fear Trey Smith!

I'd have to say Howie M. Before him I was simply a bookworm and I never really took action. His method was very simple and i actually made money. Now it wasnt very sustainable, but you just need that 1st bite to catch the bug. Now I'm leaps and bounds ahead and on my way to a solid career through taking action
