Is the Mexican extension .MX any good?

Just wondered if there's any potential in using the .MX extension? One could pick up some really nice short domain names?

Thanks

If you're targeting Mexican clients. Other than that, I wouldn't touch it.

I wouldn't touch it as well. Where I am from, our TLD extensions are .MY , and I have personally picked up a number of 1 word .MY names initially as they were very nice sounding.

Then I realised that a lot of people will be typing the .com version first rather than .MY, and that potentially means my subscribers and prospects will get confused and might go to other competitors who owns the .com.

At the end of the day, I just dropped the idea, and went with trying to find .com instead.

The .MX extension is a bit like Mexican food, it will repeat on you (every year, to renew), but leave you longing for something more satisfying...

No, seriously, stay away from it.
