Replacing Your Facebook Habit With The Warrior Forum

I just took down my Facebook account exactly one week ago, as part of a 90 day challenge to see how much my productivity increases in the New Year without it...So far, so very good..

Almost immediately my focus has shifted... for sure there were withdrawal symptoms, but strangely a sense of pleasure has replaced it. When I log in, I find my mind immediately wanting to check my Facebook account, but as soon as I remember I took it down, there is nothing left to do but get to work. Ha, what a concept.

It feels good, because well, we feel good when are doing what we know we should be doing In fact, the nice feeling has easily replaced the little buzz I got every time I checked my Facebook email, or saw a new like on my status. It really is very pointless when you step back and think of it.

I will probably go back at some point just because I have so many friends on there and no other way of getting in contact with them, but I will go back with a whole new attitude. In the meantime, I am really enjoying life without Facebook.

If you find Facebook was getting in the way, I suggest giving it a shot. Let me know how it goes.

I was also spending too much time in Facebook for a while, but as time goes by I tuned out, and not as interested as I once was. For me it's more of a phase. Maybe it's because I'd rather learn more cool things on how the interwebz spin.

Yeah, I went through my big facebook phase in 2007-2008. That was when I used to post all the time and play the games and ****. Now I just check in once or twice a day. I might not even use it if I didn't get a bit of blog traffic out of it.

Very interesting indeed. I also struggle with this quite a bit.
You may have heard it before, but I find writing out a to do list really really helps. Otherwise I find myself surfing around aimlessly.

So rather set a list of what you need to do, and work through it.

Will be interesting to see how you go with this.

Totally agree, I think that is the evolution we are all trying to make...This year seems like a good one to make it happen

That is a pretty good challenge but I use Facebook in my marketing. My challenge to myself was to not check my email until the end of my work. Still in progress.

Changing your Facebook habit into Warrior Forum is a good idea, and very motivational too. In Facebook, you can just simply share something, play games and chat with your friends. But here on Warrior Forum, you can do the same thing but with lots of knowledge and information that may change your life.

I'd rather spend my time on Warrior Forum. When I do use Facebook I limit myself to about 10 minutes or less. If it's marketing related I may spend a little more time.

I think its about discipline because I love facebook but there is no reason to be on it for more that 10-20 min a day. Id rather make money. Well unless your make money with facebook

That's exactly what I started doing about a week ago. Now when I need a quick break from writing or other work I come to the Warrior Forum rather than Facebook. The good thing about that is at least you're helping people out and building your reputation, rather than mindlessly scrolling down a news feed.

It's a great feeling when that Facebook addiction starts going away

Aside from the gained productivity, you have shown a massive dedication to what you want to do, which puts you ahead of most. This is, to me, the most important factor. The will to succeed

I used to have the same issue, however, I just learned to shut off the "Noise." Facebook is so addictive, but when you have clear focus and the will. You WILL find a way.

That's great for you! Thankfully, I don't waste too much time on Facebook these days. I have to agree though, it is much better spending time on WF as opposed to FB. You can learn a lot by just browsing through old threads on this forum, if you don't have access to the War Room. The most difficult thing about working online is arguably channeling out distractions. There are way too many potential distractions on the internet!
