Other source of revenue from website?

Ok I have another site that deals with gift cards, just information not selling gift cards. It gets decent traffic and makes about 5-10 bucks a day on adsense, not a lot I know. But I am wondering if there are other avenues of making money with the site. Is there perhaps an affiliate program that adsense wont have any issues sharing the space with that could possibly open up additional revenue? (I had read that you could get banned from adsense if you use different ads/affiliates on the same site?)

Thanks!

I think this is the part of the policy to which you're referring... ?

3.6 You shall not display on the same Web page, in connection with which any Ad Unit, Ad, Link, Search Box, or Referral Button is displayed , any advertisement(s) or content that an end user of Your Property(ies) would reasonably confuse with a Google advertisement or otherwise associate with Google.
It doesn't say you can't promote products as an affiliate, it simply says you can't display Google's ads in conjunction with other ads and content formatted to be sufficiently similar in appearance that visitors might confuse them.

There's no reason why you can't promote stuff on your site as an affiliate, providing you follow their policies and your content doesn't fall into one of their forbidden categories.

I can't recommend you any affiliate programs for gift cards, but I can tell you that my revenues increased quite substantially on some of my "AdSense sites" when I introduced affiliate links (Amazon's, mostly).

You have to test these things, mind.

Ok thanks! I just worry that I will get banned from adsense for some reason and since its my main source of income I make online right now I didnt want to chance it as I have also read its near impossible to get your account reactivated.

It's easy to worry when you read all the horror stories, but in the context of AdSense, I think you'd find that most of the people whining about having their accounts pulled have done something against policy.

It's easy for people to say "I haven't done anything wrong!" when in actual fact they just don't realise it due to not having bothered to read and understand AdSense's terms and conditions. Most of these accounts just don't seem credible, if you ask me.

But no, I can tell you for sure that there's nothing wrong, in principle, with publishing affiliate links and creatives, etc.

As I say, just read and ensure you're compliant with policy. There's nothing else you can do. No sense in worrying your head off.

Good luck finding a suitable program, anyway.

I would set up ad rotation for prosper 202 and rotate these offers

Affiliate Marketing - Find the Best Affiliate Programs and CPA Offers from OfferVault

Personally, I would remove adsense when doing this since I too rely on adsense for income. I dont think it would be an issue as long as you followed the above advice, but at the same time I wouldn't want to wake up to a banned adsense account.

I try to follow three rules when it comes to adsense:
    1. Don't screw with the ad (that means don't change the ad code and don't cover, hide, misguide the actual ad banner)
    2. Don't use other contextual ads on your site (infolinks, chitika etc).
    3. Don't put adsense on shady sites: porn, hate etc.

Having affiliate links on the site is ok.
