noob with backpage question/observation

I'm giving the 'ol backpage posting affiliate links a try. I'm a systems analyst by day working from home so I'm giving this a try for a few months (about 1.5 months in) since I'm in front of the pc all day anyways.

Instead of buying an autoposter I just made my own which allows me to post about 100 in about a half hour. All I need to do enter the captchas. No big deal. The ads I've setup are basically the heading and the clickable image with my link.

I know it's a numbers game but the problem is finding quality products in which to link to. I've looked at clickbank but backpage doesn't like the hoplink in the US (international seems fine). So instead I've needed to find products that set me up with their own link with my ''usedID'' imbedded.

So far I'm 5 products in so that means I'm posting about 500 ads every 3 days. 3 MMO, 2 Health, and 1 Self-Esteem. So far I've spent zero money and seeing little return. Which isn't bad but.....

If I start seeing something come back I'll continue and I know it could take a while. However I'm not that interested in starting a blog (yet, who knows) so should I also start collecting emails and referring that way as well and then maybe start a newsletter on how to use the software I'm using to post. I don't think I want to create yet another autoposter but rather show someone how to use what I use which is free anyways. I'd basically be showing someone some basic coding. It's just knowing what's available in the already available functions.

Again, I'm new, looking for opinions and feedback. I know I can make this work, but DANG it's actual work!
