If You Had 500$, How Would You Promote an Info Product?

Hi,

If you had 500$ in hand to promote your own info product in a highly competitive market (weight loss), what would you do?

The following assumptions are made
  1. You have already set up the sales page, squeeze page (free ebook offer), affiliates page (with banners, promo emails, etc)
  2. Your product is approved and live in clickbank

How would you go about using the 500$ to your advantage?

Thanks.

If I had $500, I would rather spend this on private blog network services to boost my info product's rankings on Google, and to get traffic and possible revenue as well.

I love Media Buys and Solo Ads.

Hint: banner ads in forums can do some wonders for you.

I am not sure if I would like to go a private network route since any penalty can mean my site wont even show up for the brand name search (I know a few people who has been burned like this)

  • Set aside a portion to do something different. For example, some people are having a lot of success printing flyers and driving traffic from offline. No worries about ranking anything.

Get a membership to Directory Of Enzines
and do solo mailings to the health ezines.

Ask the directory owner for help as he
is very knowledgeable and willing to help.

Just had a look at Directory Of Enzines. Could you brief me your experience using them? I'd be interested to get it. (If you have an affiliate link let me know and I'll be happy to use it)

            Hi,

Thanks for the link. I did watch the video and it seems pretty good.

            However my concerns are

The video was just a walk-through of how the site work and not necessarily the effectiveness of the ezine advertising (No mention of click through or case study of how much he made or anything like that).

So I find it hard to digest the video especially when someone puts up an affiliate link below the page and claims the program is simply the best (A case study or actual results would have worked wonders for my click through).

I did a lot of research and everyone seems to be the opinion that it's currently outdated and that the support has promised site clean up (It has not been done yet).

In which case it may pay to find your own ezines in which to run solo mailings.

The directory owner did send out an email recently expressing
his thanks for all the kind messages he's had.

It would seem there has been some disruption
to his personal life which may have lead
              to the service standard drop.

So well done in doing your research.

              Best,
              Ewen

I think I'd do some manual research right now and go with one or two of the top Ezines.

                Thank you.

you could try a press release for $100 we get ours professionally writtern well ok, I have a friend who is a retired journalist, and his writing is killer, I swing him a bit of money to write ours.

Press releases can have a very very big impact, and bring lots of traffic to your site and media attention. But ....and here is the key,....it must be high quality...and not look like an ad. You must make it newslworthy and what I call semi-viral to make it spread. You want your links inside the press releases to go around the web, so if your smart enough you could do this. Or use say $100 out of your $500 for this. Always good to test this sort of thing.

Press releases are underrated ...so do NOT under estimate the true power of a good press release, especailly if you are a good news style writer.

I would buy one Facebook promo code of $50 for $6 and start advertising free. If this goes well I would keep my ads running, if it doesn't, just turn the campaign off and keep on going to the next coupon/promo code.

From where do we keep buying the promo code? Any idea? (PM me if it's not supposed to be public)

I would launch it as a WSO. Get some momentum going and get some affiliates
(in order to get lots of affiliates you should offer 100% commission).

The same guys that can promote your WSO can help you on Clickbank too.

Does WSO work with niches outside of internet marketing?
