So.... All what I am getting from 2CHECKOUT are fraud messages

Hi everyone

I just applied for 2checkout.....yup its now two months.

Having done all what they needed from me I was able to integrate it to my site.

I have been able to make five sales worth $400 from the site but three of them have been tagged as fraud..... The money has been refunded so I am the one to loose

Is this problem only with me and how do I solve it?

I'm surprised at this. 2co's fraud department is usually very good at weeding out suspicious transactions. Have you spoken to them about it? It could be there is pattern to the purchases, and you can work with them to block out certain countries/IP addresses.

I don't think it has anything to do with you -- if it did have anything to do with you, I would have to say that MAYBE whatever product you're offering MIGHT naturally attract those more likely to engage in fraudulent online payment activity.

So you might want to take a look at the kind of people that would want/need your product.

The last poster is also correct: their automated and human fraud detection is quite good and it's rare that such a payment would make it through to the point where it's credited as a sale to you. Obviously, in your case, it did reach that point and three of your four sales were nuked.

You don't control the payment processor, so what can you do really? You can't control who comes to your site and control who clicks your "buy" button.

If you find that there is/are something in common with the three fraudulent sales that you've received (country of origin, IP range, and so on), you might want to take steps to ban a certain range of IP addresses or on your sales page by the payment area a little warning about fraudulent purchases.

Either way, a determined person will find ways around most measures. So, you might want to do what you can, but in the end you're going to have to depend upon your payment processor to back you up.

Four sales with three of those being bogus is bad -- but it wouldn't have been so bad if you made 100 sales or even 200 sales with four fraudulent transactions. Concentrate on getting new sales.
